I am contemplating extending the warranty on my 575 SA. Does anyone have any experience/opinion/views on the Ferrari offered programme and in particular through IMSS?

Two versions are available to me. One "premium" version which I understand is "virtually equivalent" cover to that of the commercial warranty from new, and a lower cost "normal" version which is limited to Engine, Transmission, Suspension, Steering and Electricals.

They are both quite expensinve although the alternative is of course to "insure failure" myself and take the chance, but this all depends on taking a view as to whether the economics and risk stack up. I dont know how reliable any well looked after 575 running gear is likely to be.

Does anyone have any past experience or views on this. Bear in mind that my car is "excercised" on average about once a week, never in the wet (unless I get caught out) and never run hard. It has done just over 5,000Km in its first 3 years.

Grateful for any opinions, especially 575 related.!

    Thanks
    PAUL

Interesting question Sir Paul. I have never heard of anyone going for an extended warranty. Maybe in HK it is unusual for someone to contemplate keeping a car long enough for it to matter!!!

I would suggest that you post your question regarding reliability of well looked after 575 running gear in the 550/575 section as experience in Asia seems likely to be less than in other parts of the world.
