My Challenge Stradale should be done at Bryko Motors in February, so I am flying in town by myself to pick it up. I have a meeting to go to in Mountain View anyways, so it works out, and I can turn a mostly boring trip into one I will remember for life.

I have decided to then go drive it down the 380ish miles in the EARLY morning on Saturday so that I can attend the Enzo Cruise-In event at the Peterson Automotive Museaum event the following morning. Then drive it back up to get loaded onto a boat. What can I say, I love road trips.

I was going to post about who all is going in the North California group, but I honestly specifically want to just know what other 360/F430 owners will be attending. I did also post this in a Facebook group and so far it seems like a good bit of owners will be coming.

Anyways, I look forward to hearing from everyone here and especially to hopefully meeting some of you in person.

Do you have any more info on this?

I just looked at the Peterson Auto Museum website and it’s not showing anything on Feb. 25.

Hwy 1 is closed unfortunately so the road trip might be a bit boring if you need to stick to I-5.

If I can get tickets to the LA Galaxy game that same day I might check out this event. I won't have my car though.

It's closed? Like what section? Maybe I can go around it? That sucks!

Edit: Just looked it all up. Well that sucks. Haha! I'll enjoy just driving anyways. What about 5 down to cut across 166 to 101 in Gavieta. Then from there to Simi Valley? Looks about as good as it's going to be. I'll still have fun.

Also, I don't know California well. I know Texas an Hawai'i. Any particular cities I should NOT stop in on that drive? Areas to avoid.

Yeah. Avoid Malibu. That place is a dump :D

all those towns along the way are pretty nice. Only sketchy areas are around LA but I’m not familiar with those.
If you don’t mind the distance, any chance you get to wind to the coast is worth it. Unfortunately, not many cut throughs. I’d probably stick to 101 most of the way if you can.

Thanks. I’m probably leaving at around 6am at the latest anyways, so I have a good 12 hours to just drive and explore some on the way down. Gonna be fun.

You’ll enjoy Pismo Beach if you can stop there for lunch or dinner. It’s a small beach town with lots of good restaurants.

If I were you I’d take the 101 all the way down. Much more scenic than the 5.

    Some possible stops:

Monterey & Carmel - you’d have to back track but not super far out of your way

Paso Robles - a decade ago was a cute wine country town. Now is kinda try-hard IMO but has some ok restaurants

San Luis Obispo - college town. Madonna Inn is a quirky hotel that’s right there on the freeway

    Pismo - mentioned above

Los Olivos - you can either stay on the 101 or “cut the corner” to Santa Barbara. Both routes are perfectly nice.

    Solvang - kitschy Danish town

Ojai - haven’t been there in a long time, but it’s a town where “cool” angelenos will spend a weekend

THANKS! I will check it out. I really appreciate the suggestions as someone that doesn't know anything about California. My route may also be dictated by weather too. Thanks again!

It was ready and I was there! Sorry I was so busy there for 5 days I was not on the forum. Here's some pictures of the journey down, and then some pictures of my car that a photographer sent me. 370 miles Saturday morning down, and 370 miles Sunday afternoon/night back. 1,000 miles and 4 dyno pulls (on Friday) over the span of 5 days. What a journey! I appreciate everyone from the forums that came up and introduced themselves to me. Seriously made me feel super welcome to there, at an event totally new to me, in a city I don't know at all. If any of you see this, I'd appreciate you posting under here. Trying to add and keep up with everyone's contact information for those I met in person.
