Any other Ferrari owners on Kauai?

Your probably on your own there my friend. I'm on the Big Island but my cars are in Montana. I have a guy I met a few weeks ago a few blocks away from me with a black Testa Rossa, and seen a few others on the island. There is a guy from Dubai who comes in occasionally with friends and they bring a few super stuff for romps around the island. Last spring my friend and I were passed near South Point by five cars with Dubai plates.

David Seielstad in Princeville may have a proper, old one.

 

David is a Pebble Beach judge and his phone number may appear if you Google "David Seielstad Hawaii".

After seeing what Hawaii will do to a 3 year old washer and dryer...........I'd never keep that car on an island!!!!

 

I had a similar sentiment a few years ago when I was considering bringing a freshly restored Daytona to Hawaii. I decided to sell it instead and... regretted it.
So my attitude changed, in that I only live once and I can always restore it if a little rust starts to appear. So I bought a mechanically restored one with a driver's body. It never sees rain and I keep it in a dehumidified and air-conditioned garage. It's doing fine and I'm a happy haole.

 

Just wondering what you do for service in Kauai? Send it to Ferrari of Honolulu?

Last I knew of he kept that on the mainland and his Lusso was on Kauai.

I don't know how he does it but the Lusso has no signs of rust and its been there for some time.

 

Humm... I thought 0022M had Hawaiian tags. Hawaii requires an annual safety check, where the shop must take front & rear pictures of the car in question in their shop. The rust thing can be slowed with an air-conditioned or dehumidified garage with sparse inclement driving.

 

I have only seen the Lusso in a car port. And he lives within view of the beach.
He has family on mainland so 0022 may be registered there. I have not asked about it in some time.
