What would it take to get some of you guys to meet up at my place (Mulvane) in May with your cars for a photo session ? A couple of magazines are interested in some pics of my place and your cars would be the icing on the cake.
Count me in. I live in Derby and I have a 1998 Diablo SV and 2001 Diablo VT 6.0 (Diablo SV currently FOR SALE and the replacement will be a 2003 Murcie) and a 2005 Ford GT. Doug Kennedy 316-788-5967.
Thanks, but no italians as of yet. Hopefully soon tho! Just out of curiosity, how many of the locals work on their italians? I know the viper guys can get local service but how about the f cars or lambos?
I did the engine out on my old ferrari. Not bad in my opinion. There are a few people who could do a good job if you need someone local.
Just got the SV. I love it and it is Rosso Vik in color like my 2001 Diablo VT 6.0. But after some serious soul searching and talking with the wife (BOSS) , instead of having two Diablo's, I rather have one Diablo and one Murcie. Looking to get a orange 2003 Murcie. Doug 316-788-5967.
Doug, just out of curiosity, why not unload the gt and get the murcie, unless its your wife's or should I say your "Boss's" favorite. Then you would have three generations of lambos.
I think a cowley 20 run would be in order...I couldn't keep up with the lambo, but if you still have that miata...
Not too many differences. The wheel size for one, yours are 15" and mine are 16". Yes, I still have the 84 as well. Brian
No, I will always keep the Ford GT. I think these cars will always be worth something down the road. The prices have increased since I made the purchase and I think they will do nothing but continue to go up. I have had many offers and easily could make $25,000.00 on my car, but I am not interested in selling.
I don't yet have it back, but I hope to get it next week. We've had some delays in getting a re-flash done to the PCM (at first, we thought the PCM was faulty, but it now looks like it was a programming glitch).
Actually, I do agree that Ford GTs are going to appreciate in value, I was just hoping that you would unload the car and I could buy it from you! I missed out on the yellow one that was at rusty's for a while. I was just not enamored with the yellow and black stipes, but in hind sight, I should have taken the offer then.
If I remember correctly, Bonedoc (Ian) bought the yellow GT that was a Rusty's. He has since traded it for a Gallardo. Brian
Yes, Bonedoc (Ian) did buy the yellow GT at Rusty's, then traded for a red Gallardo (Elite Motors in Arkansas), which I would have never done, I would have kept the GT!!!! He has now traded the Gallardo for a yellow 2003 Murcie at Lamborghini Dallas (Boardwalk).
A friend of mine bought the wellington gt, blue with no stripes, and sold it for a small profit, thinking they'll make more down the line. What a mistake! What do you guys think of the upcomming zr1. Will it have the same effect on the car market?
I don't think so, too many production numbers. Nothing against a vette, I have owned plenty, but a vette is a vette.
