I hope this keeps going because sometimes I come into Wichita, for instance this weekend.
There are usually a few car-related events each weekend in Wichita. This Friday, we have the Navigator Run event (see the thread in this forum), and most weekends have at least one or two other gatherings (although Italians are always rare....). Once NSXER gets the Lambo and the Ferrari back in action, we'll get a little Italian blood back in the mix, and we have a few other Italian owners in the area that we hope to see once in a while. I think one of the best shows of the year is the Automobilia show in Old Town. This year it's on July 14th (see link, below). I'm hoping we can get a group together for that. http://www.automobiliausa.com/events.html#carshow
I run a child care center in the south part of Wichita and we have a "Wheel Day" every July. We've had great turnout in the past and have had Firetrucks, Limos and 348s to Vettes and even Big Dogs from the factory themselves. The event is Thursday, July 19th from 2.30p-4.30p and setup from 2.00-2.30. The news stations will most likely be here and we have 200 families who will absolutely love seeing some exotic or different vehicles. The cars will be sectioned off so not to worry. Please PM me or call at the office 316-684-1700 and ask for BJ. Thanks guys
Countach engine is going back in this week! Ferrari is done and is running better than ever! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice Countach! Glad to hear the Ferrari is doing well, I have been looking for your Crescent Classic registration, I hope you can still make it! I thought we would have seen the "delivery" pics, your Ferrari looked great on the transporter! Chris
If the weather is clear, how about Backyard Burgers (7010 West 21st Street) this Friday night (6-9:30)? A Gallardo showed up last week (no other Vipers, but Compensating and Darell represented the Viper Nation the week before).
What time did the Gallardo show up? I drove by and didn't see it last friday. -BJ ps-axtellboy, give me a jingle as I noticed you were somewhat interested in the "Wheel Day." 684-1700
looks like we might have a few this friday.. anyone else goin?? here's from two weeks ago... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm planning to be there (Backyard Burgers- 7010 West 21st), and I think Darell plans to attend as well. Comp makes three. Anyone else??
Chris, My registration will be in this week! Sorry for the delay. My wife took the arrival pics on her camera. I will try to pull them off this week and post them here. Nice job on the TV gig, the 550 sounded great!
It's looking like we'll likely get rained out tonight. Watch the weather, but it looks wet. Keep the July 14th Automobilia show (Old Town) in mind. I think that's one of Wichita's best shows of the year.
Wet is NOT the word, brudda! I think your state is sinking! Any word from the SE areas? I started a thread about Independence KS for Valeria's Mom, she is sitting with me, just sick, as her house is reportedly 12 feet under the Verdigras, now........ With her personal phone book....I told her we'll find it and dry it out.....
At least as of now, it's looking like the weather might be clear and not-too-hot on this Friday and Saturday evenings. If the weather holds, is anyone up for Backyard Burgers (7010 West 21st Street) on Friday evening (6:00 or so)? Also, the Automobilia show (Wichita- Old Town area) is this Saturday evening (show starts at 6:00 PM; lineup starts at 4:00, and spots go very fast). Attached is a link with details. If anyone is interested in attending, let me know, and we can coordinate getting a spot (I plan to "get in line" for entry a little before 4:00). Thanks. http://www.automobiliausa.com/events.html#carshow
Regarding the Automobilia Show (Old Town- Wichita) this Saturday-- We plan to meet at the Homeland Food parking lot at Douglas and Hillside at 4:00, and then head over to the show.
Fellas, It was good to finally meet some of you in person (Axtellboy, Nsxer and Bonedoc). Hope all went well after I parted with you from Homeland. Wishing the best, BJ
It was a good show, and we had a good time. Bonedoc's Lambo got a mention in the Eagle's report on the show. I will post some pictures soon.
It was a very good time, even though it was HOT! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

The weekly Friday night Backyard Burger event continues to draw nice crowds and a good diverse group of cars, including three red GTS Vipers this week (Compensating, Darell, and me).
