    Has anyone got a F355 with tinted windows here. I am in two minds about having mine done. My 348ts had tinted windows but for some reason I can't decide whether or not to get the f355 done!

    Why would you do it the windows are already tinted?

    I bought a F355 4 weeks ago. The 348ts is gone.....

    Not necessarily. Many ferrari side windows are completely untinted.

    Anyway, tinting is one thing but if you're thinking blacked-out windows, then IMHO don't do it. It will really restrict the resale. It isn't everyone's cup of tea.

    The other thing to watch for is plod. The traffic police have a device called a "Tintman". The gadget measures light transmissibility, which for windscreens is minimum 75%. They can check this at the side of the road instantly and you can get points on your licence, a hefty fine and prohibition order for the vehicle until it re-passes an MOT.

    "Light Transmission of Glazing - Summary of requirements (Summaries of construction and use regulations for motor vehicles – Department for Tansport )
    Motor vehicles first used between 1/6/1978 and 31/3/1985 must have windows which allow at least 70% of light to pass through. Motor vehicles first used on or after 1/4/1985 must have windscreens which allow at least 75% of light to pass through - all other windows must admit at least 70% of light."

    Certainly in Essex, the Traffic Police are getting very hot on this.

    I had tinted windows on a car once and found it to be extremely dangerous so had it removed.

    The problem was that at dusk it was extremely difficult to see people who were still driving around without lights. This was particularly a problem when approaching roundabouts

    I have tinted windows on my BMW and I had tinted windows on my 348 so I must be an ugly driver according to you!!

    Generally older people don't like tinted windows, they think of them as pimp daddy style

    As for the any car a light to medium smoke looks very cool, and will look just awesome on your 355

    Gatwick autoshades do mine and my (pimp daddy!) mates cars

    I think I am going to go ahead and have the 355 done. I usually use Pentagon as they have done all my cars and a lot of my friends cars. Thanks.

    Pentagon did one of my cars, they are good if pricy but they never dried the windows out. Gatwick autoshades are good as they are cheeper and dry the windows so you can wind them up and right away.
