Any owners or those that know the car? I have read enough reviews but don't know anyone that has the Maserati.

Reliability? Quality? Fun factor? Resale? Would you purchase the car again?

    Thks

    Joe,

Do a search for the word "Quattroporte". The search function is located in the red bar - select "Advanced Search" and then type in "Quattroporte". You can search by thread title or by keyword (choose title - you won't get overloaded with info like you would if you selected keyword).

This should provide you with a start. Hope this helps.

By the way, I'd choose the Quattroporte.

I haven't driven either, but it seems to me that you ought to be questioning the reliability, quality, fun factor, and resale of the S. I'd rather be outside the Maserati, looking at it, or especially driving it, than doing anything with the S. It seems MB has gone down the tubes since their merger a few years ago. I guess that's just it, as it sounds, one's very passionate, the other very boring.

I'd take a QP over anything this side of a Bentley.
It feels like a coupe. It's so much more personal than a boring old S-Class. It's really got that italian character thats in the 4200. Love it!

Bently !! A Quatroporte accelerates faster on the depreciation scale than even a Cadilac. Merceres has electrical problems and a new style is soon due, or is this the one your talking about ? Or a killer deal on a slightly used Maybach ; driven to Tiffanys only before the special occations.

Hey Joe, I took delivery of my QP in Feb of this year. The first two months I had it it was in the shop with problems with the brakes and tranny, all is fixed now and I got a free set of luggage for my trouble. I have been driving it daily for a few months now with no problems. The car is stunning, and lots of fun to drive. I don't know about resale because I don't plan on selling it soon. Everything has been wonderful with the car except for those first couple months. It is not going to be as reliable as a benz or bimmer, but its way better looking and way more fun to drive. I say go for it.

I am probably going to go for the QP.

I have an SL now and the motor is great..but all of the other ...little... things are a real hassle.
*Comand shuts off for no reason
    *glove compartment doesn't open
*$2,000. for brakes at 14K miles
*Seat doesn't move back when you open the door
*A/C fan speed changes velocity 5-10 times within a 1 minute period
    *just to name a few...

A great car but too many electronics that are not yet perfected.

Last I checked, the cheapest BentlEy is in the $160 range, and a used Maybach (eh, same story as a boring ass S-Class, just spruced up a bit, still no character) is going to be atleast $250, most likely more. The QP is $95 --- quite a price difference.

www.italiaspeed.com has announced two new spec models for the Frankfurt auto show, the GT model seem interesting with 20inch rims, sporty interior, revised skyhook setting and most importantly, the latest software for the duoselect making it much more drivable!

The Sport GT looks like the one to go for - equivalent to the GranSport treatment to the standard Coupe... Nice!

the beautiful interior of the QP's materials and finishes are comparable to those of the bentley's. S class is even behind A8 or even 7er.

If you are considering a high tech luxury car then the S is for you. The QP has less electronic gremlins. The lack of a "personal computer" in the dash as in all the other competitors now (S, 7, A8) is appealing and makes you focus on driving rather than playing computer games.

the QP is all about driving a personalized sedan. which car do you prefer to drive, a maserati, or a mercedes?

btw, i think the QP Sport GT may not as hardcore as the Gransport compare to the regular car.
