    Hi,
Does any know of service records of a 1997 456 GTA VIN 106021. I've been trying to find
out from Ferrari dealers[not much help]. I'm taking delivery of it and maybe there is something service wise that I can hold off on.

If anyone has owned the car, any info would be great.

    Thank in advance!

    Jack

The most critical thing is the age of the belts. You can take the belt overs off yourself in about an hour the first time. Then look at the date stamp to see the year. If you are lucky you have newer than 2007 belts. If you have older belts it either means the car is overdue for the belt service or the guy used new old stock belts. If there happens to be say a 2009 belt in there you are golden. Next I would dump all the fluids just because you don't know the age. That is another easy diy job after you do a little reading. Read up on drysumps and how to check oil levels. It is not like a wetsump car. If you don't have jack stands the local mechanic can do the job but do yourself a favor and stay away from porsche mechanics. They tend to think they know more than they do. Danial at Ricambi a sponcer on fchat is your friend. He will treat you right and get you the RIGHT parts you need. After you learn about the car then you can start branching off and finding other part sources. Stick to daniel he knows what ferrari parts are junk and what aftermarket parts are good. Don't pinch pennies on parts until you know what you are doing. Taz is also a great source of info. He is like the encyclopedia of 12 cylinder ferraris. Spend some time with the work shop manual and many of your questions will be answered.
