Hi Bro, the red F430 was me and the yellow spider earlier was my nephew passing me the Touch N Go card for my drive to Kulai this morning. It was fun...about 21 cars in total, not bad for a maiden foray into Malaysia for this new group. Didn't know some of the brothers hang out in Arab Street, say hi next time!
Singapore Airlines operates the A380 to Hong Kong, London, Paris, Sydney, Tokyo and soon to Melbourne. BTW do you have the correct seat Mr K?
Oh wow, a warm welcome to all of you guys who've just registered or finally checked-in after lurking. Nice to see new blood. We've got at least half a dozen new active chatters lately & I'm lost with who's who! How's the drive to Kulai & return? 21 cars is a fantastic turn out for Malaysia drive considering that very few wants to cross the border early in the morning. Please post pics of the drive.
Mostly Ferraris and Maseratis but there was 1 lambo and a GTR. Membership is however open to all owners of Exotic Makes. The list of exotic car makes in this list is still being finalised as well as the formal formation of this new club. It was a nice drive up with a mixture of NS Highway as well as B roads as we made our way to Riders Lodge for breakfast. A couple of us who could not get enough opted to venture further north after breakfast before returning back to Singapore.
I may have seen your nephew too, was turning from Bendemeer Road to Serangoon Road via Whampoa East around 2:30ish. That, somehow the most unexpected place that i've spotted exotics. seen a DB9, R8 and Gallardo there too.
Bro, it is not a formal club yet, still a loose affiliation of high speed adrenaline lovers who love their exotic cars. There is some discussion of incorporating it as a formal society but nothing firm yet. Will certainly let you know of the next drive up and you would be most welcome to join us!
Did you notice the G-meter? popped straight up to 5 Gs, which i suspect is the limit, but the impact was harder.
apparently it's a chinese name .. that I bought on ebay when I moved to Singapore Hi Jon .. I'm Derek wow 21 cars .. that's a great effort .. I feel guilty not making the effort to get out of bed this morning .. altho 3 hours sleep I might have been dangerous .. more dangerous I mean yup that's the one
aahh yeh definately ... considering last weekend's Ferrari Club organised Port Dickson drive had to be cancelled due to lack of interest
Hi guys thank you all for the welcome. y'all are sure a friendly bunch. I drive a 4200 & a QP, like to track and go for NSH drives quite a bit. Re the AM SLKs, I've test driven it... power's the same as a normal amg, and although it sure is a unique car, when I drive it it felt like it's just an AMG with aftermarket suspension and steering on the wrong side. Not too special at all.
Derek, you should have come! You are at your best when you are dangerous! It would have been a smaller version of the Malacca drive we had a few weeks ago with FClub. It is always a comfort when you are sweeping from behind and keeping us on our toes....right foot? haha
haha 7:30 kickoff was too much to ask for this morning .. despite my best intentions. I'll definately make the next drive though.
Harold, are you kidding me? One of the lead cars for the 2nd convoy (we broke into 2 groups for easier management) was led by none other than a 911....not sure if you know BH from Porsche Club? You and your porsche bros would definitely be welcome! The idea behind this loose affiliation is not to be elitist and restrict to any one make but rather to cut across the broad segment of supercars of different makes. In that sense, it is different from all the other clubs which restricts members to the same make of supercar usually. An excellent oppurtunity to meet more brothers who drive different makes of supercars from your own
The club has a meeting tomorrow to discuss future plans with the new agent, and probably its' own future as well. I've also been invited to their next monthly meeting, which is strange considering that it's been ages since I was notified of any meeting. Perhaps they realise that their $1k membership fees is not working out as planned...
Sareve, was driving a dark blue Maser GT then, just took delivery of my 430 from HSM 3 weeks ago from their "clearance" stock. You were in the yellow 599 if I am not mistaken?
