Hey lads I'll be in Spore for CNY. Any Fcars owners fancy to meet up.......the only problem, my dad does not drive a fcar........ ...in fact he does not drive anymore....he's 70 already!!!!!!
You guys check this out http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135511715&posted=1#post135511715 when can we do something like this here & any car/bike guy/gals can hang together? Any place to suggest? I've been going back to the Arab street cafes @ night for Teh tarik, nice environment & that Art Deco styled building lights up majestically in front of you. There's an open carpark & you can line up on the street. There's a resort styled Lebanese restaurant round the corner in a restored 2-storey-pre-war shophouse. Hey Isk, yours eye any better? Thanks for all the inputs on the 348, I'm glad to share & let everyone chip in some ideas for the project. I've just met an enthusiast in his '50s who can't live without a project car but he would sell them away after each is finished. Tuck, he claimed to be the first to do a 911 carbriolet conversion from a targa. Costs about S$25000 including new parts & labour. AL, I think most of us would be either out of town or busy during this festive period. Don't think I can meet you. Most shops will be closed over the weekend as well.
Jon, about the conversion, FLAT 6 wanted 3.5k just for the labour. The top coast around 1.5k used. don't think I'll convert though.
Jon, eyes getting better.. Thanks for asking. Will have to do checkup this Saturday and if all is well, rest again for a couple of days and get new glasses, no contacts for the time being...then Yahoo!!! can drive again... Being in Fchat and looking at your gorgeous 348 makes me have them Fcar withdrawal syndrome again....Aiyayayayeeeeaay..
Yap, lowest I've seem as well but it's a tip. Will appeal to some buyers who wouldn't want to fuss on the gearbox & I believe is affected by some 996s on COE which are S$200K+/-? Unfortunately, our market is not matured enough & rarely has demand for collector's cars unlike overseas. Because, everybody wants a new model, warranty & easy finance! Tuck, the 911 convertible conversion was done with brand new factory parts. The cost on labour to do my 993wide body & excluding painting was S$5K back then.
My friend sold his 993 in Sept 04 when it was 10 year old for $120k for a standard tiptronic. The higher priced ones are mainly 6-sp Manual cars.
Car was stolen by some syndicate it apparently...anyway its was not new, so not so heart pain...looking to get something differnt next time i swing back HK, not sure what yet. Definately not Beemers, dun like the dash design...
It looks like a Novitec'd Spider. Front valance looks kinda well but hate 'em Lambo type doors. Doubt that Ultimo will drive the car around with the car seat covers/savers intact. Car's LHD and that rules it out too unless it's in the Riviera but 'em houses look rural Rhineland to me...
Yes, its the system. I am still amazed by it. One of the few places in the world whereby 5 yr old car is considered old. Used to have an Audi TT quat 2000, but mileage less than 40,000km (hardly used). They said its old Forced to sell bcoz of system (wch I still dont bother to really comprehend)
This I like better but don't really fancy the rims. I still don't understand why didn't Audi give Gallardo the scissors doors like the Murcie. BTW, I saw a black Gallardo last night on a #1 plate & another lime green Gallardo few days earlier. Both were spotted driving past the old City Hall. They sound quite subdued on low rpms, maybe should give em Tubi
Hey boys, check out this video of the only MC12 that arrived in UK by Fifth gear. It was driven around in snow by the new owner who took a 6hrs overnight ride to a track! Gives 5miles/litre. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8454665654910570394&q=MC12
I wouldnt think so, kits for gullwing doors are quite common these days and the price of retrofiting it is dropping i would guesstimate that its a 3-4K euro for the conversion
