hope u liked the recommendation! kampong chicken is less fat than normal farm chickens, so the meat is slightly firmer. incidentally, there is a Five Star branch at Serangoon Gardens too. did u order only drumsticks?

That looks great.... suspension really looks low or else the rims and tire diameter are far bigger than original which appears to fill the arches. Yesterday morning had another lovely drive to work in the 348, rear end came out real nice around a slowish right hander but a bit of countersteer and no lift off got her back in order..... man our cars have low thresholds, wonder what the extra rubber on your rears does for keeping the rear end better stuck to the road....

Bro bro, keep your licence in one piece man. Not very good to slide around in S'pore with so many "eyes" around & esp. you have a very loud car. Have you thought of adding thicker sway bars? Me, a shame as I haven't brought her up north & did no more than 130 so far.

Hey, still indecided man. My Merc's going S. Africa! Wife wants me to buy a problem free & 'normal' new car but I'm constantly thinking about Mondial or some other weirdos on COE. Just been offered an X5 4.4 though. The body of a 3yrs old RAV4 is now S$15K whereas an '01 BMW5 series is only S$12K!!!

Just returned from Singapore late yesterday night. For your information, being a very big fan of chicken rice I made it a mission to have as much of it as possible over the time I was there, that's from late Friday afternoon onwards. At the end I can confirm that four places were visited, including most of the ones you've kindly recommended. To be honest, if I mention chicken rice again in the near future to my family they'll tell me to go out to enjoy it alone, don't know really why anybody can shun chicken rice. Just to make them happy the last place we went for a quick meal before departing was No Signboard Restaurant for the famous crab and other seafood. It's now diet time.

I've been to Singapore many times for business but this was one of the first time with the family in a long while. We found out that there was so many things to do with the kids and everybody were very friendly.

Unfortunately, didn't see any F-cars but got a quick glance at a GT3, a Boxster, a 996, a RS6, a Cayenne Turbo, a Continental, an SL55 and some 645 driving past. Made me really miss my cars back home.

Thanks again for all those that recommended places to eat and visit.

Bleedin heck...now I know what was wrong... car came back from Hong Seh and they had pumped my rears to 36psi and my fronts to 35!!! My rears are normally at 34psi for my driving style and my fronts at 36!!!

you must be doing really fast round the bend to have noticed the difference. Ben from HS used to tell me... 'your car is 15 years old, take it slow'. that's after the pilota guy snapped my throttle cable, which in turn snapped 2 other belts in the engine compartment.

Not sure if I would really agree to that but there's so many racers who used older cars on tracks. There was this 1926 English make that took first prize in an Australian Classics trackday. 2nd winner was a '74 911RS 2.7 which is a very fast car.

But it all boils down to the condition of our old mule. The bushings, bearings etc etc & I definitely don't want to blow an engine or gearbox. They are very expensive to fix. Frankly, I find myself driving it slower & more gently than my other cars.

I read from the guys testing the new 430 Challenge in Forza. Harder suspension causes hotter tyres which in turn made them wear faster while a softer setting was better for the tyres. I can't remember if it made differences in timing but I figured since they lasted longer, it would require lesser or shorter pit stops.
