Then....what are you doing here? How to achieve inner peace when the horse is prancing in your mind Can't imagine if it would, we're all mature adults here & it's good to share our experiences & voice our opinions if not it'll be forever a rumour or hearsay. Eg. people often say that the HS workshop badmouth about cars that didn't visit them so I decided to find out for myself. I spent a few hours with Ben & he explained that these are high performance cars, they receive factory training & when the cars come in for a servicing, they check everything from electrics to fluids to make sure they are safe for the driver. They test drive them before handing over. If a Ferrari breaks down on the road, it's bad publicity for the brand. I can't agree more. The cold & warm treatment of visitors are often different for indviduals but I certainly hope to see better service staffs. Afterall, they are the ambassadors of the brands. Then, Sh11783 broke silence & told us the direction of the factory & dealers. He shares his experience & opinions which is enlightening for would be owners. Btw, do they hold cooking class? Finally, I don't see insults from either of us unless misinterpreted. As we can see, there are a few that have come out of the closet. The lust of the marque is strong. Epoh, when I'm in my car, I often look twice @ a mini especially the colourful ones with stripes & aggressive wheels. I'll try get that VCD for the saturday movie.
Oh god stop stressing me out Sf Its a really bad habit I am trying to curb, just like ciggies, its addictive. A thousand apolgies, i have not read much of the previous detailed posts (seemed like alot) got the gist of it though. I know it would just unbalance my state of mind if i gave it some thought, alot of deep breathing and clear state of mind is needed just to meditate...and stretch..., plus my Guru is trying to teach me some difficult sequences too. Be back once i stop floating.........adios
Hey Philip, you're probably the only one here who has been through those three brands & a few generations of it. As a trackie as well, can you please share with us your experience on their ownership, performance, handling, maintenance etc?
Hey guys, I've got a question for you. I'm presently driving a Maserati Coupe and seriously thinking about an upgrade. I see Eugene at Hong Seh has a 2003 F575M 4sale. Does anyone know anything about it? i.e. is it a good buy?
I think you need to give abit more detail i.e. paper value, mileage, no of owners, etc. before anyone can comment.
Oh boy, you're a man of few words.... Alright chatters, how about a meet next weekend when Lung's back? Or would some of you just want a "smaller, intimate" meet this Sunday morning over teh tarik & roti prata? There's this roti prata place in an old 50s building near botanic garden & opp the sports stadium of NIE. Turn left on the nuseries just before the Farrer Rd underpass along Bt Timah Rd. Derek, welcome to the chat. Have you visited http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=58 & find out more about F575? I can't help you on this but maybe Lung or the modern junkies are more familiar. My guess is if it depreciates less than S$50K/yr, that would be a good buy, no? The F575 is a rare bird isn't it.
Do you take the body value on the 10th year when calculating depre? I believed there are only 2 in town and both silver.
Oh it's just my wild guess, if it's a paperloss of S$50k/yr (that would be a steal) based on driving till 2013 (do you actually think we keep a car that long?) excluding taxes, transfer fees, maintenance & insurance. That's why Lung pointed that we need more details. I would say a S$150-200K/loss per year to own it for the next 2 yrs to be more realistic. Was the car about S$900K new? OMV about S$200K, COE about S$25K then. General rule of thumb is 30% loss for first owner. What's the body worth anyway? I know a 360 coupe is still about S$150K recently.
I speak from experience..a one owner 550 was sold less than 2 yrs from new, under 10,000km for mid 500s..
i think alot has to do with the car... a V12 5.75litre car has probably less demand than a 3.6 litre car.
Ha Ha I see you like looking at such pics on the net in your free time. Actually, when it became apparent that we were F car owners, the Lambo people's attitude changed. So I am afraid they actually do serve these types too if they drive Ferraris. That's why someone said and I agree "business is business" and I do not think HS is any worse than any anyone else. Fyi, I got a price check for a new DTM at $750,000 from C & C. On the 575, its a wonderful car esp the modificata. The 550 was not greeted with universal approval when launched, much like the 599 now. However, I have always liked its classic lines. This is one Ferrari you would not want in red with tan but in classic grey with red. And manual. Get it.
Good point. The details are: 2003 Ferrari F575M F1 1 Owner with 30,000km Exterior Colour: Silver Interior Colour: Black OMV: 257,608 COE:32,597
Thanks for the feedback guys. As an angmo I've really got no clue on these things and it's alot of $$ to shell out just for the hell of it . I love my Maserati but afterall, it still isnt a Ferrari!!
Hey hey Derek, hoped you didn't think about the red hair-devil thing rather it was for the monkey-business earlier. Over in lion city, you pay a lot up front but you get a big amount back as well when you sell or export the car when it's ten years is up, you know that don't you. Question is, do you like the colour combination? Performance, maintenance, handling etc. the big 575 is considered as a gentleman racer rather than the boyracer 360/430. We all know that a used one can represent some good savings & if the previous owner didn't track it hard, it should be a good buy. You don't have much choices either if you're only looking @ a F575 but 30K mileage is not exactly low or exceedingly high for a 3yrs old. I use my '03 Merc daily for the past 3yrs & it's still 35K now, considered low for a workhorse. So, my guess is that it shouldn't be the owner's only car but has been used frequently enough+some Malaysian trips. If the first 30K major is done (should be a 5 figures bill) & selling price is what Spaing mentioned, it shouldn't be that bad. All above are my opinion & I haven't got a clue what a F575 offers but I can loan you a few Japanese magazines that covered the F575 in glossy pictures if you want.
Harlow, who u referring too huh? I am being nice to pouint out its an ad, look at the language lar! Does it come across as an angmo or not huh? Maserati jump to 575M? Never see before lei... Looks like HONG sai have to resort to this sought of tactics to push cars hahahaha
CTK, if you're still looking into EFI on the 308, I found this http://www.twminduction.com/ThrottleBody/ThrottleBody-FR.html while shopping for my 911. They did a Ferrari V12 as well, very nice set up.
