All 5 star hotels in KL have up their rates since last year second quarter to at least RM350 for standard rooms to be more in line with regional rates of USD100-150 per nite.

Now, the property market esp KLCC also playing catch up to regional prices.

My GS has been sold!!! Gone!
Its funny how when i first put it out on the market there were 2 buyers interested. Then 1mth later, no one interested. Then suddenly 5 interested buyers all asking at the same time This is worse than financial market volatility.

Ya lah, which car's steering rack can cost more than S$10K? & I have a belt job @ another S$10K. So that makes me S$20K poorer within one week! But fear not.....I thank the internet founder; for I've found not one but two new racks for a fraction of what those would cost me & my worn rack can be rebuilt overseas for just few hundreds! Phew....

Just be careful... i bot a simple power window regulator thru the net... and it didn't fit.

Another thing, just make sure that the steering rack is for a RHD car... coz I don't know if the mounting points are the same for LHD/RHD cars.

Yes, I understand the pitfall & I've given them my chassis no & specifically RHD. Let's see how, if not I still have a 3rd supplier for 20% lesser & worst case, Sam will handle it. The rack is made by a French company that stopped making it now. My aircon is also acting up since I've been using it daily & might convert the entire system to Jap make for reliability & parts. My previous 348 had a S$15000 system & I spent less than a quarter that from local boys.

Ok good luck. All I can say is that part of the fun is putting the car back to optimum condition... only downside is that it will cost you.

Sure, you driving over or need me to bring you around? Sat morning is good as a lot of Merc/BMWs turn up @ their shop in Ubi area, near my home in the East. Bought my AMG kit from them but I think there's more than one supplier here.

Wah Isk, the Odyssey, Penang trip, you make me regret my choice......u getting the '06 Absolute??? Be careful though, some dealers don't even know about the new facelift & there's 06 production models with old face. The new one must ride on 18", new tail light, keyless, 3stage air-con & maybe you can opt for comfort package with 2front electric seats etc.

Close call between the O and the V50T5 but she saw the O in person, test drove it and liked it. Something about some DVD thingy and that we can hook up extra screens at the back for the two 'fighters'. Not sure which model it is, but she told me it's an '06 and has full leather and sunroof(s) and the whole whizz-bang...Dealer also willing totake her 330i in part exchange and kao-tim the necessary finance paperwork.

So, make her happy first...then it's MY TURN!!!

Hey is owning a ferrari in italy and england cheaper....like i dont have to be rich to own these cars...???How much is a 2nd hand ferrari 360 modena or f430 in italy and england...like in singapore its around $800,000 for a brand new car and $450,000 for 2nd hand ferrari....so i think it might be cheaper....!!!

I believe they're cheaper over there...but hey, you're a Singaporean first and foremost right? Nothing beats owning an Fcar in your own country and besides..taking up residence, job or whatever in another country is another matter altogether unless you're very very well off and can 'position' yerself anywhere in the world..
