the 964 just kept going and going... a clear sign that these machines can still be driven to death years after they were manufactured. Interestingly Adrian said that he had so much more fun driving the 964 than his 997 GT3!
Bro, that 964 was a frame off & complete rebuilt. It's probably better than new from factory now! Any idea how much he spent, did it keep it's 4WD & any idea what spec is it running on now? We can take this to another line if u like.
Jon, quiet 355s don't exist do they??? Good guess, that was indeed a 288GTO. Imported from a Jap owner who had his own team of mechanics to look after his cars. Was asking 350-400k pounds. Don't know how much it sold for eventually. Someone was asking about the cost per year for the F1 programme? 350k buys you the pit crew's time and routine servicing. Tyres, fuel and accomodation for the pit crew is still borne by the owner. I didn't dare to ask about the cost after the 1 year period! 1st pic is Alesi's F93. 2nd one is Shumi's 97 racer. Don't think it was the one used as a battering ram against JV. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
F1 longtail version. Rare and only for track use. F-50, DB4 and a lovely 365BB. Couldn't get a good shot of the front which is a pity. Lastly Gullwing driven by Moss. Comes with cert which increases the investment value or so they say. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Woud love to, for all car lovers out there but I may have exhausted my stock! Saw a Veyron a couple of months ago on the streets of Kensington but it just looks like an oversized bug on wheels... Nothing pretty although it is an awesome piece of engineering. No camera at that time. Also saw a grey Cali on the roads last month In London. Looks better than red but I'll rather wait for the 458!
yeah i agree mate ... the beauty of the veyron is in what's under the hood ... not much else, at least for me ... & from what i've seeing on the internet, the 458 shld be an absolute screamer ... don't much care for the cali tho ...
Here's the front of the 365BB. Almost the same lines as the 308/328 but more muscular in width. Looks better IMO than the 308 which is a tad narrow. This Daytona is some race edition. Single seater with roll cage, extingushers and whatever you will find in a race car. And this is what you see on the streets of London! Neat, little car but the price makes me think bigger brothers like the 365/512s are undervalued or the Dino is overvalued. F50. To be honest, with the other cars around, you will head straight for them rather than the F-50 although I do like this underrated super car. Ok, last 2. 250 Cali. Beautiful in person, pictures don't do justice to the car with the never ending front bonnet and elegant lines all round. But 5m quid? I could get lots of beautiful cars for that! And something that I half expected the Terminator to claim back. Don't know what it is but it was custom built. Damn nice bike! F-chat is a terrible influence! I said that was my last 2 but I find myself posting more!! Ok, some from the workshop. That 288 you see, won a concour event after it snapped into 2. Workshop said that they can fix anything no matter how bad the damage. I'm no expert but what do you guys think? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
tell me abt it ...... can't see any damage ... must say, if it did break into 2, it's a damn good rebuild ...
Oh man, that Mclaren F1 is amazing! Love the classic curves of the Gullwing too. I think the new SLS AMG looks alright but it doesn't quite hit the mark for me
