Yes, it happened a few times alr. that's why i always make it a point to ensure that the fuel cap is tightened before starting the engine.
Actually mate he is kinda right, its the fact that the richer a car runs, the cooler the engine gases as the mixture in the engine block is rich and well lubricated with... yes, unburnt fuel, and as a result these gases, when exiting the engine block and running through the cats and exhaust are cooler... hence increasing the life of the cats....
Ah, very good lesson. Btw, I'm kinda worried abt my car. The exhaust pipes end a few inches before a large fancy oval tail pipe so it's effectively under the boot area, when it idles, fumes should be 'floating' under the car. Wonder why they didn't weld or at least shaft the pipes to the tails. And the exhaust has a lot of backpressure?, everytime I release the accelerator, it'd bubble up
Yeah. U know those big tail pipes similar to LS460 & MarkX? The tailpipes we see are just ornaments attached to the rear bumper. If there's any hint of flamethrower on mine, it'll be grilling it's own arse!
Tim's CS is the loudest thing I've ever heard this side of a Zonda R, 599XX, Enzo FXX, Mac F1. You should have a pretty good idea of how loud it is!
Yes, I get what you mean. Within the oval tailpipes, there are 2 small exhaust pipes that exist beneath the car. I had also wondered why didnt the factory just extend the 2 pipes into the oval one! Yes, lifting off the throttle of the CGT will induce lots of bubbling in the exhaust, especially in sports mode. Does turbo cars have more backpressure in their exhaust systems?
Velcro should stick better compared to double-sided tape hahaha. Definitely won't be able to hear the brakes on your CS squeak cos it's insanely loud! The cheese graters definitely look like a pain in the ass to wrap. You may wanna check out this wing from Jap tuner Auto Veloce. Overall the whole Super Veloce Racing kit looks wierd, basically a mash-up of a SV and 430. But the wing looks quite baddass.
Sorry have to post pics here as I reached the max limit haha. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi guys, Been a lurker here for some time, and really enjoy the insightful reads. On the subject of driving tours, I've come across a site that might be of interest to some of you guys here. http://www.petrolheadnirvana.com/ Alps Classic sure looks tempting. Cheers, Jason
= saw throat? My neighbours were screaming away this morning....no, not sex (how I wish) but of the misses over the game.
That's mating gone bad! On another side, EM just finished a red 430 spider with premier kit which looked pretty good & it had CCBs + 20" black HRE wheels with red pinstripe. Sorry, I didn't take pics.

That is one killer combo. ngt by itself is alr very loud! But with the remapped ecu, i'm sure the gains in hp n torque will be greater right? can you feel the difference? Was the transmission ecu remapped too?
Did u watch the Kreiseggs in youtubes? Love em but the 5 figured prices kept me away for the longest time since there's virtually no re-sale value for sports exhausts.
Correct me if I'm wrong, earlier CCBs do squeak when they are cold. This is due to their compound. After the brakes had been warmed up, the squeaking should fade as well.
remapped ecu gives much smoother n faster acceleration (feels like anyway) ,at mids n highs. transmission ecu was checked but it was apparently fastest version already so cldnt be improved. if u hvnt done anything to yr exhaust i highly recommend sport cats. on 360s its truly a dramatic change not just in sound but in drive as well, n its not very expensive relatively speaking. a lot of weight n space saving too, so car runs a little faster n cooler.
