Yeah; horrid weather in KL this morning. Rain has stopped, but there isn't much sun (at least not here in Cyberjaya).

On the topic of driving shoes, any recommendations? Thinking of getting myself a new pair. Previously I used to have a set of Pumas, and then a set of Alpines.....but now wondering if there is anything out there else that I can look at. MUST look stylo and be comfortable.

In the words of my friend, "slow never mind, as long as handsome can already!" Hehehehehe.

Also, am in KL today too. Hopefully the weather will be good tomorrow when I hit down to Sepang. But if it does rain a little, it will add to the fun while learning the handbrake turning stuff.....

In KL? Think the weather will be pretty good tomorrow!

If you're looking for a pair of comfy and stylo driving shoes... pop by to Pavilion and head for Tod's. Suede? Leather? Oh goodness gracious me! :D

They actually look pretty darn nice to wear to a party while having had a great track day just before. Will possibly go grab some after Sepang tomorrow.

Was hoping for something along the lines of track driving shoes....maybe I will just stick to the Alpines. They are more comfy and at the same time gives a better feel of the pedals.

But if anyone still has any recommendations, do let me know.

Weather good? Yeah..... but I always had bad luck with track day weathers back in the day of two wheeling. Thats why most of my riding mates banned me from hitting the tracks with them. THey called me POseidon.....bastids...

Yeah; started raining about 3AM, then slowed to a drizzle... and back to pouring at 8AM, and 10AM. Crazy weather. Heck, it still looks gloomy outside, right now. Doesn't seem to deter some owners from bringing their rides out, though.

The SG Lambos are in Genting, right? This one rarely comes out but it was in KL earlier today.

Was wet at the Lambo track day... Not how I wanted to learn to drive the G, and the bmwsg session today was drizzled over. But as I was getting used to the car in the wet it was definitely more fun today!

Forget timing, it was all about slipping around and enjoying myself with a huge grin on my face. I seriously love this car! Utterly neutral and gives huge feedback. Pivots beautifully with throttle and brake application in the wet on bridgestone s0001.

I had a couple of laps in the Hoosiers as well... Phenomenally easy to drive! Can't wait too figure the limits out and see what time I eventually get. Together with input from ascendant, this had to have been the most satisfying track weekend ever, even if I was really going back to basics re learning everything under Ascendant and with pure street tires on a wet track. Phenomenal fun! Traction control worked overtime and never missed a beat.

:( sorry bro, collected them on thu night. Tim's got 3. Maybe you can ask him nicely to pass one to you :D

    Ian, thanks for the contact!

And just in case anyone else wants to get it, this guy doesn't keep stock and he said he typically requires 3 days to get them ready. No idea why so many days. Lucky me, he was willing to do it within the day cos I told him that I was gonna leave first thing on fri.

Also, one of the L owner (he's on fchat but doesn't post) who happened to pick up an extinguisher from me before the drive was this close to using it.

For pure driving boots, try Stand21. You can get them off the shelf or custom made (suede, leather, colours, stitch, heel-toe pad, etc.) from Garage R. Very lightweight and comfy, sole is perfect for pedal work.

Here are some samples of what's possible:

Oh so nice! I shall go grab a pair from them. Poser + Driving = bang for buck.

Had a blast at the Lotus Autocross event too btw. Came in 3rd too for the Autocross Challenge. Got me a nice plaque for the podium finish.

Mate u need to sell those shoes now.

Actually, Alpine Stars are great. From Miki marketing.

Toto it was the best fun I've ever had in a car buddy. Thanks mate. My times were a tragedy as I am getting slowly used to the daunting prospect of thrashing the crsp out of it and building my trust in the car, but my initial impression is that this is one stable and hugely predictable baby. Absolutely love it and it reminds me of my evo. Based on what u achieved with yours I know the only limitation will be me. I gotta get out on the track ASAP! I love tracking again!!
