Anyone watches the UEFA champions league? The knock-out round will be in february... Too bad my team Inter are eliminated.:( ..Oh well I hope AC Milan or Juventus will take the cup.

I also like watching the Italian league (Serie A).
Inter are in 4th position tied with Lazio....not bad

My 2 favorite soccer players are C. Vieri and A. Del Piero.

So any soccer fans who would like to tell us who they are cheering for?

    Hi guys!!
Although I'm not a big soccer fan, my dad is adicted to soccer and to his team (Sporting Lisbon - SCP).
Regarding the UEFA cup I just wanted to say that, as I'm living in Portugal I'm very proud of the accomplishments last season of the Porto team that won the UEFA cup... awesome!!!!
This year they are in the champions league and it's gonna be tough, but they are a great time, and very very tight!!! Plus their couch is ... a machine!!!
On another note I must say I really like Brazillian soccer... They are jigglers (Hope it's the right word...) They play great air soccer you know? they control the ball in the air alot of time... It's great!!

    Go PORTOOOO!!! Go PORTUGAL!!!!!! :)

    I love futebol !!!

    Brasilian futebol that is.

I went to Rio de Janeiro to watch the 2002 World Cup in Japan/Korea on TV, just so I could be there if they won.

And they did......and I partied hard all day with 12 million people at 10am on a Sunday. It was one of the best days of my life.

kds, the coatch of Brasil in the World series is the current coatch of Portugal... and he's doing a lousy job at it...
We have some of the greatest soccer players (some of, not THE)of today, and he was able to lose almost every game we made so far...
I just hope that, as with Brasil (which was almost excluded from the world cup) we too can go through the Euro cup and finish it in... Nº1!!!!

Good to hear that news !!! Everyone in Brasil still hates him....even thought they won the World Cup in 2002. He refused to put Romario on the team in 2002 and that is the reason he is widely disliked.

BTW......"jigglers" is close.....change the "i" to a "u" and you have jugglers....which is the correct spelling.

I love football (soccer for the non-Europeans) :) Unfortunately I don't get a chance to watch that often. I like AC Milan, Juve (of course) and Lazio. I prefer to watch the National teams play and the world cup. I think the greatest Italian player has got to be Paulo Rossi...remember him? Italia's last World Cup win, he was the hero. Also like Vieri and Del Piero.

It's funny, I went to play soccer a few years ago with a bunch of friends, everyone had a R. Baggio jersey on!
