Any type of clear,protective coating for our expensive windshields?

    Wondering if our F-Chatter's know of any type of clear, protective material that can be applied to our windshields, to help prevent rock chips? Perhaps like the tearoffs used on racecars, or something like the 3-M clear bra material? From time to time it would probably have to be replaced, from getting scuffed by windshield wipers. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    I haven't found anyone who's producing optically clear polymer film/coatings that also incorporates impact-absorbing characteristics, but you can ask these guys:
