    My favorite WAS my panerai 1950. I bought it new for Just under 9 thousand. I sold it for 20 thousand. I wore it only once the day I bought my first ferrari a 430 spyder.

    My "collection" started in the mid 1970's with the purchase of an Omega Speedmaster. My friend's uncle owned a jewelry store and sold one to me for $162.50! A few years later, I found a Rolex Submariner at a store that was losing its Rolex franchise. He offered it to me for $580. At the time, that represented a month's take-home pay but I managed to scrape together the money and have had it ever since. In fact, I had it on last Sunday in honor of the Rolex 24Hours at Daytona.

    I have acquired a few other watches along the way but my favorite is an IWC Schaffhausen Mark XV. It's very low key and only another watch guy knows what it is.
