Is there any way to absolutely confirm a car's actual production date? Not registration, but the day it was built at the factory?

The cars are not built in a day so there is no 'absolute' day

There is a date production is completed that you used to be able to get on a certificate from the factory for free along with colors

That stopped but there is now sometimes limited information appears if you register your car My Ferrari: Register Now - Ferrari.com

Beyond that there are suggestions of a thousand buck certificate or you could apply for Classiche for several thousand bucks

You can ask to [email protected]
You should attach your identity card and the document that proves you are the owner.
They will immediately answer givin you month and year of production. They will also suggest to ask your dealer for the certificate as greyboxer precises. In Italy the cost is 500 € plus VAT.

The metal tag inside the drivers door lists when it was made. My 1995 348 spider has an inner door tag that reads May 1994. My car was not sold/registered until 1995, so my title indicates model year 1995. Now how accurate the metal plate info actually is....?

Probably no less accurate than any other Ferrari/Italian record from back in the day! ;)

Correct Wade but, for example, European market cars do not have this same plate.

Yes, the VIN for US and CDN cars do designate the "model" year, not year of manufacture. I wonder if the Euro requirements/standards are the same.

Other than contacting Ferrari directly, I know of no way to identify the exact month/year built date of a Euro 348, unless the original invoice/shipping documentation is available(?).
