Anyone here worried about the rising gas prices? Granted a Ferrari is a weekend toy but curious to know how much your car gets per mile city driving and highway. Reducing weight helps and other mods?

Highway I get in the mid 20s. Around town it eats gas. It responds to standard techniques -- higher air pressure, smooth and gentle starts and stops, lower cruise speeds

Measured MPG in my 328 is around 8 City, 14 highway. Premium. And I
don't care a bit! Happy to pay for the thrill/unique factor.

My Mercedes E500 gets around 22, and my Toyota Sequoia is 18

    Want better? Buy a Prius!

Forgot to add - NO. Did I say NO clearly enough? I bought a Ferrari to DRIVE it. The
original 1986 Gas Guzzler Tax Car.

Fill-up with Premium every few days. Happy to do it. The day Al Gore gives up
his private jet, 28,000 SQ Ft mansion, and 9 SUVs to make the world more green
    I'll give it some thought...

Meantime, me and Sofia are a team and we make our decisions together!

Date a slender woman. The easiest weight savings in the passenger seat.

I switched and I've noticed improved handling as well.

Skip gears 1-3, 3-5, and when cruising on the freeway try keeping the revs under 4k.

    You are kidding right?
If you're really worried about fuel economy on a Ferrari then buy a Toyota.
Once the maintenance costs of an Italian exotic hit you'll never be happy.

I found I could save a lot of fuel in mine by adding a lot more hp....it seems if I keep taking it aprat to make it better I don't end up driving it all that much over all which is a bad thing....but when it is running, oh my :)

In the Netherlands we pay $8,97 per gallon regular or $9,50 per gallon premium. ;)

(€1,54=$2,37 per litre normal or €1,63=$2,51 per litre Premium. 1 US Gallon= 3,78541 litres)

    STOP COMPLAINING!!!!! :)

1.17 per litre in Canada for regular.

The best way to get better mileage is to keep it full, once you use up a 1/4 of the tank, use a jerry can or portible gas can, fill it up. that way, when you drive it the next day, you will be surprised how much gas is available. This increased the mileage 20%

I haven't kept records so far, but guess about 8-10 city in the 308 QV...about the same as a Lincoln Navigator.

That little V8 works very hard getting 3200 lbs car + 185 lbs driver underway, but does it in admirable style.

My 330 2+2 got better mileage around town, probably in the 12-14 range. The low end torque made for easy, low-rpm takeoffs and slow cruising at near-idle engine speeds...I could drive all day in first and second, and rarely hit 4K rpm.

I got about 21 MPG on my trip to North Carolina. And... that included Tail of the Dragon. What I am most disappointed about is that I actually calculated my MPG...

I got 21 mpg driving from Chicago to Washington DC. I used my GPS to maintain the correct speed (70 MPH) because the speedometer in the car is so inaccurate. But I didn't think to use the GPS for the distance reading so it could be off 10% or more.
