    Get someone in to look.

A mild musty smell can in fact be a nasty mold buildup behind a wall or under a floor.

This is the voice of experience talking. I had a little musty smell, turned out I had Friggin' mold EVERYWHERE in my basement, just nowhere that you could easily see it.
We pulled down a couple sheets of drywall and the mold was thick and gross.

Hire a pro. Get it fixed. They cleaned mine out, then they fogged my basement with some nasty stuff. But it worked.
