    I met a young lady in Milwaukee who wants to spend the weekend w me up there at a Bed & Breakfast. Seems I am Irrestable :)

    I need help to figure out which is the nicest town & best B&B

    There are many, many great B&B's in Door County, but I would highly recommend the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek.

    We go up there quite a bit, usually stay just north of Sturgeon Bay to avoid the tourists. But I'd second the White Gull, that's a nice place.

    Can I expect the Slutmobile to be rolling through town? :)

    The B&Bs are all a bit of the same, to be truthful. But the area itself is pretty and you'll like the scenery. There's a restaurant with grass and goats on the roof that's pretty famous, so go by there and check it out. Forgot the name. Hope for nice weather, otherwise the only two things left to do are drinkin' and lovin'.

    That wouldn't be a bad thing, Jack......lol!

    I picked up the Trans Am in Madison, WI. west of Milwaukee, WILLIAMH....

    The next 26 hours were a blur of back roads, snow, sleet, rain, Kansas Turnpike, and Stevie Ray Vaughan CDs on the player.......sorry, I'm useless!

    That would be Al Johnson's in Sister Bay. Been there a bazillion years. Swedish kitsch on meth, but worth it for the pancakes and lingonberries.

    Hard to get a lot pf privacy in a B&B sometimes. Get a hotel. If she's a real lady you will need lots of privacy. :)

    I go every year. I stay at the Highpoint Inn in Ephraim. It may be more of a resort than you're looking for. To eat, I recommend "The Inn At St. Christopher" for a first class dinner. It's in Fish Creek and the finest restaurant in door County.

    Try talking her into going to Elkhart Lake. That way you can check out Road America at the same time =)

    I'm pretty sure that we have an F-chatter living up there. Don't remember his name offhand, but he posts in the Tech section (or used to) quite a bit because he has a great working garage and does all his own engine work....

    have been to door county every year for the last 7 or 8 years, its a great place to go. Dont know any good bed and breakfast plces but if you have any other questions just me a pm and i can help you out.

    May want to consider Sand Bay Beach Resort. www.sandbaybeachresort.com Great place with 1 and 2 bedroom suites and is right on the the water. Great beach and is in the middle of no where. Is only a few minutes from Sturgeon Bayl. My family has had a cottage on the bay since 1943 and we recently tore down the old cottage an built a new place.
