I got a pilots license. Need a pilot;) Although I prefer to pilot something with 4 wheels over 2 wings, unless of course it comes with a jet engine or two.

    Right Here!

Unfortunately, never had time to get a private pilot's license, but I have flown a few times (3 or 4 times a Cessna 172 or equivalent, once a Beechcraft "Duchess" twin-prop.) Always with a pilot sitting next to me, but I did a whole lot of the flying myself, including a couple of landings/take-offs....

Would LOVE to take it up again seriously if I ever had the time...

I'm a private pilot, instrument rating, etc.

A lot of the Fchat pilots are also on aviatorchat.com.

Have about 15 - 20 hours of C172 time, but never had enough free time to dedicate myself to getting the license. Now that the warehouse is on the grounds of Teterboro, though, I may have to find that time...:)

Anyone want to do flight lessons at teterboro? I would try and get a group rate or something. I know someone who works at flytime (not sure if thats how you spell it) but they train everyone from private pilots to commercial pilots. I would love to pick it up again.

Nah. he just wants to make sure they don't exceed the speed limit with eyes-in-the-sky.

    Hmmmm, interesting.

Yin, a demanding, technical hobby requiring a lot of foresight, thought and attention to detail. Why am I not surprised you're totally into it. - :)

I was one of the first members of AviatorChat. Have been laying low, but am planning to step up the activity there now that I am becoming more serious about resuming flying.

TEB would have been ideal, but due to level of private jet flight activity there is no more private instruction at TEB from what I understand. All flight schools have relocated.

See earlier comments on TEB. I am flying out of Essex County Airport in Caldwell, NJ. Great airport. Lots of Class B airspace makes for interesting flying.

Give me a call and I can give you the full details if you're interested.

    Hi Vik,
I have a multi engine rating and own a Beech Baron 56TC. It's real hot rod, cruises at 247 knots. I try to get out 2x per week. I'll probably go for a cruise somewhere Sunday. Drop me a line if you want to come along for a ride.
Quick hop to somewhere interesting. Block Island, Nantucket, Vermont...

Flying really appeals both sides of my brain. The scientific side in me loves all the technology, gadgets, the precision, planning, and navigation. The artistic side loves soaring freely above the earth, the beautiful sights, the freedom to go wherever and whenever I want.

    I highly recomend it.

    John,
Not trying to take Vik's turn :D, but I'd love to go for a quick trip also if you don't mind. Whenever you have time, doesn't matter...

John, beautifully said. I feel exactly the same way.

Desire was always there, but now work demands are somewhat easing to allow me to realistically resume flight training. Still working towards my Private Pilots License, but am enthusiastic about returning. Excitement is heightened by the fact that my fiance is also keen to learn so we will train in parallel.

Sunday sounds like a hoot. We'd love to join for a trip. Will PM you to discuss the details.

Great pic BTW! Where do you fly from?

    Best.
