It looks they are organizing a watching party at the dealership, light brunch, all for the Montreal race. I might go to the actual race next year, as this falls around my B'day, but it might be fun to take a drive from the peninsula and watch it at 9.30 am this Sunday. I have already received permission from the Chief Family Officer, but need to RSVP by june 6th with the organizers(advert / number in FCA - P mag, or PM me, I did not want to post a residence number on the web).

I'm going. Leaving from 280/Page Mill. But it's not this Sunday, it's next Sunday. :)

    Is it open to non-owners?

I am close to Ralston and 280, so I can back up a bit if people feel a caravan might be fun. My 250 might be back from the paint shop by then. I will go to check on it this Saturday, it is just being assembled at this point in Livermore. I need to deliver a grille that I fixed during a few late nights (aluminum 101), along with a whole bunch of steel trim I straightened, polished, or had chromed.
If not, I will take the Alfa, which at 2 litres might make it tough to keep up with modern iron, even with 2X 40 DCOEs instead of the dreaded Spica, but hey....it is Italian and... I just got all the kids' paw prints from the glass (I can see !).

BTW, Dan, have you given up your Alfa commuter idea?

i think non-owners are fine, but FCA P membership might be good (the event was advertised there). Of course, I doubt that anyone would check..

I should bother to sign up for the FCA...so that I can do the Hill Climb in September!!!

Perhaps this is a good idea for our next drive? Luke, could you be so kind as to PM me the details?

I'll be there at the FofSF F1 viewing party for the Canadian GP on June 13th. It is for FCA members who RSVP and FofSF invited guests.

Dan (and all) - you should definitely sign up with the FCA. Note that you don't have to own a Ferrari to be a member of the FCA. Being a member is not only great for the Hillclimb, but only once every 10 years does the FCA International Meet come to our region - and this is our year (the week after Concorso). August in Monterey will be the biggest gathering of Ferrrari's ever (including some fantastic racing machines).

it seems that jane's number (to rsvp) is on the ferrari pacific org web site. I recently signed up for fca after a 2 year hiatus myself and usually make 3 to 4 events per year. problem is that living in the bay area offers enough events.....swig drives, private clubs like hooked o driving, car shows, candy store, etc......

This is definitely the year to be a member of the FCA Pacific Region. Being on the FCA Pacific Region board and also part of the August International Meet planning, I know that the activities will be fantastic. I encourage all local Ferrari fans (owners and non-owners) to sign up. Because the slots for the International Meet (Rally, Concours, Race Track) are filling up, signing up sooner rather than later is definitely advised.

To get info on joining the FCA go to:

If you have any specifc questions, feel free to PM or Email me.

Gil: always glad to hear from you. I'll get moving on it.

Unfortunately I won't be around in August, and despite being Ferrari-deprived, I can almost guarantee I'll be having a better time! :D ;)

Are you going to that wonderful place in the sun where you party to 5, wake up at 5 then party again to 5? What a stud.
