Anybody got pix of 348 with racing stripes?

Check with Mdshores348. He had the stradale stripe on his car for awhile.

Andy, are those just vinyl stickers or painted? If it's vinyl, do we put the white one first follow by the red & green on top? Thanks, Jon.

 

Yes I have a NOS direct port system.

Its vinyl and the white was put on first,the rear deck was the hardist to do.

We met at Snetterton last year (july 5th), I was following you in a yellow 355Gts, your car was so noisy it was awesome, damn quick as well, I remember you saying you put a 355 6 speed box in it, out of interest what Hp jets are you using when you do use Nitrous

 

I remember,i dont want to dissapoint you, but i didnt have nos in the car that day, i dont use it on track as its to tempting,I normally run 100bhp but am having a new ECU made so i can retard the ignition when i engage the nos and will then run 150bhp.Im also putting on throttle bodies so it will be interesting.

I remember you saying the bottle was empty, but that car is so quick and set up perfectly, embarrasingly I did have a hard job keeping up in the 355, and the noise was deafening even with a helmet coming into Russells

 

Me and my Dad msde it the 360 Hamman one inspired me.

You car looks great. Where did you source out the rear fascia 355 look stuff? Got any pictures to share of your nitrous set-up?

 

Ive got no good pics of the nos at the engine end, im setting the system up with throttle bodied so i'll take some better stuff then. the rear is a challenge grill i cut and carved around its all homemade i dont no how to attach the thread about, it but it went into a lot of detail about 18 months ago.Sorry im not much help.

I'm now doing this to a 3.0Qv, do you ever worry about the engine letting go with Nitrous, also do you use a window switch or controller

 

I put a proggressive controller on but after setup its set to 100% 00.00 seconds it was a waste of money i think, car accepts the power so smothley i wouldnt bother.

I have lost an exhaust valve and everybody said it was the nos, it turned out it was a cheap valve that was fitted after belt jumped 8 years ago,so renewed all valves, im installing a knock meter and retarding ignition to make me feel safer

Why are doing direct port would you go back to flowing a wet mixture in a dry manifold with a throttle body? How did you direct port? Did you dirll into the manifold of piggyback a fitting and raise your injector like the holly system?

 

I packed the injector up 12 mm there was no noticable differance under normal driving, The bodies have a nos hole in them ive been told, they arrive on wednsday so ill take some pics.

Thanks for the info, my only concern is that the 348 engine is a lot stronger than a 308Qv engine

 

The other thing with nos is its best to use a window switch to cut out the nitrous system just before the rev limiter cuts in otherwise detonation continues and it can blow a hole in the pistons, the only problem I have with this is the window switch and the progressive controller both cut the earth side of the solenoid
