Hopefully this won't be deleted for violating any terms or conditions. I am not selling anything.

However? Our local animal shelter has been taking in donations of items to sell to help with the critters rescued from a huge animal hording case.

One of the items donated is a brand new Tektronix TDS 2004c oscilloscope. I HAVE an ancient Tektronix scope, and would LOVE this new one, but I don't have the money for something that I wouldn't likely be using frequently anytime soon.

They are asking $600 for it. Hasn't been unwrapped & as such, the "limited lifetime warranty" hasn't been started.

If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to put you in touch with someone from the animal shelter.

p.s.: She just brought it by my shop so I could tell her the model number & give her some details. She wasn't even sure what an o'scope is used for. :(

To best benefit the shelter, I would suggest she put it up on eBay for a $600 starting bid with a 10 day auction. There's a good chance she could get $1000+ at the end as a new unit sells for $1600-1800.

I mentioned that to them - as even refurbished ones are selling for over $1200 on ebay, but they are reluctant to do that. :(

Stu - forgive me, but I was away on vacation for the last week or so, but at the same time, I didn't receive any PMs.

Since I have gotten back from vacation, I spoke to the fine folks at Mitchell County Animal Rescue, and they brought the O'Scope in to me. Plan on writing up a description, taking photos, and putting it up on ebay to help them out.

If it doesn't violate any kind of terms here, I'll add a link once it is listed.

For further details - MCAR (Mitchell County Animal Rescue) is basically a "no kill" animal shelter. They are located in a rural, appalachian area. Just recently, they rescued a large number of animals from a "hoarding" situation that is really straining their budget. You can "google" them, or look at their facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/MitchellCountyAnimalRescue?fref=ts

Since they twisted my arm, I went ahead & listed the o'scope for them on ebay.

During the listing steps, ebay has a place to click & share profits with charities. Obviously, I used their search on those listed in my area & only 2 were available to click on. Anyone know how I can help the MC Animal Rescue folks get included in ebay's list of charities? <-- never mind about that part. Found the info & will help them get set up! :)

Anyway - if anyone is interested, here is a link to the auction.
