Anybody have any performance stats for the 512 S?

    I know since it is a race car testing wasn't really done, and with only 1850 pounds and 550 horsepower the thing must be a beast. But with that being said, anybody have any information to share?

    All I can find (that is reputable) is a top speed of at least 211+ mph.

    All I've seen in writing is the 211 MPH number which equates to 340 KPH, and I think that might have applied only to the long tail "Coda Lunga" version raced at Le Mans only. However, since the long-tail Porsche 917s were credited with 236 MPH, the Coda Lunga might have been somewhat faster than 211, if not as fast as the Porsches (though they were more stable at high speed).

    Thanks, I have read that the 211 mph is for the regular ones. From what I have read, the Coda Lunga versions were capable of hitting 230ish mph. Not sure if that was ever verified like the regular ones 211 mph though.

    Okay, wherever I saw the 230ish mph number I can't find, and going by what I did find that might have been incorrect or I just have a bad memory LOL.

    Got this from QV500. "The "coda lunga" tail sections used at Le Mans could bump the top speed down the long straights. These sections were basically only used at Le Mans."

    Elsewhere (Ferraris-Online) they mention the coda lunga "hitting some 218 mph".

    So as for the 512 S, it seems like the berlinetta will do about 211+ mph, I have read this all over the place. The coda lunga should do about 218 mph more or less from the few reputable sources I found. Also, one would have to assume do to a little more aerodynamic drag the spider would be a little slower, maybe somewhere in the area of 205 mph or so.

    So the berlinetta with the regular tail I guess is the best overall. Will still hit 211+ mph, that the spider probably couldn't muster. Also has better downforce and stabilty and a little less weight then the coda lunga.
