Wicked Cool!!!! I think it's probably samples played on a synthesizer keyboard, but wouldn't it be cool if it was a program loaded onto the engine management computer to rev at certain RPM's for set intervals? I wonder what the RPM differences are in those exhaust "notes." The engine can easily spin up that fast, can't it? Especially with no load. I've listened to it 5 times, it's awesome.
I think it's real. There was a post floating around with a different F1 team playing 'When the Saints Go Marching In' from the exhaust.
Yes its cool to hear the notes from an engine in the form of a tune, synthesised or not. What displeases me is a government subsidised team claiming domination of a supposedly capitalistic sport. Imagine if the US Govt backed a F1 team instead of a space program.
with the renault v10! http://www.renaultf1.com/en/season/china//index.php?news=tcm:3-41651 multimedia/sound pretty good kinda like that one of dany boy the pipes are calling with the arrows engine. cool stuff EDIT: "woops sorry for repost, please merge"
The 'When the Saints Go Marching In' tune was played by AsiaTec some years ago and is definately real. I have to agree this one doesn't have the same 'feel' as that and I think it is proably sampled - still quite fun though
Alonso did indeed sing this song when the team won the constructor's championship. This is not sampled or played through a synth. It is a Renault engineer with a laptop making the engine note play the song. Maybe they should maker the drivers play their own National Anthem using their cars when they win a race!
