Anybody here know rolls royce or bentley???

my father has owned 4 bentleys, 2 now. both of which are a pain in the A$$. but the 2006 arange t has been good to us. get the 2005-2006 arnages because they are more reliable. my grandfather has owned over 20 bentleys in his life time and had a benz as a daily driver and was a solid rock. my father now owns a 2007 s600 and is on the list for a 4matic s550 for a daily driver. the moral of the story is tell your dad to buy a s550 and if he still has money floating around tell him to buy a 2001 arnage for the weekends. i say 2001 because that year the volkswagon-bentley took impact on the electronic systems, so its more better after 01. its a great car because you get that "look" like your donald trump every time you take it out of the garage. its a fun car to drive long distances, like a week ago me and my father went to bay harbor which is 400 miles away, for lunch! its fast if you get the t. We drive long distances because my dad gave up his beech baron turbo prop plane for a cessna citation x ( full ownership ) so now he likes to make up for that by driving and its better and more fun.

 

What does your family own?

 

my grandfather was sam grand and he built up half of bloomfield hills, west bloomfield, troy, novi. all in michigan. So he was a very rich developer, his net-worth before he died 6 months ago was set at over 1.2 billion dollars. But my father decided to make his own business which involves dental products, such as dentures, bridges, crowns, molds, and he works on the piston players teeth and the red wings. he has made a striving branch business in mobile dental diagnostics. but my uncle took over the real estate company and now just came in town, he moved to san francisco. but believe it or not! he owns a smart car, priuos, and honda element.

 

Mercedes are to common. They aren't really special either or stylish imo just a status symbol and expensive. Of course so are the bentley and rolls but I think they look better and are certainly more special (especially rolls royce) also with rolls royce the car could become a family heirloom of sorts and carry a history with it. I had a neighbor who owned a silver cloud that had been in his family since the 60s-the family still owns it.

 

not many people would keep their rolls royces in the family espeiclly the newer versions, usally in the u.k. they do that. and tell me why is a rolls royce silver seraph more better looking than a bentley arnage? the rolls has ugly taillights, side markers, exhaust pipes, and a stupid leather pattern in the center of the seat. it reminds me of the curtains in my parent's room. the rolls has a v12 and the bentley has a v8 but the bentley v8 has much more punch to it because it s turbocharged. and did i mention the wheels on the rolls? they look like hubcaps off a taxi in mexico. before my grandfather died he bought a rolls royce phantom and traded in his continetal gt, and he liked the bells and whisles on the rolls but never liked the look, he kept on taking it to the body shop because the transmition was to complicated for him and he kept on rear-ending cars, he traded it in and bought another continental gt, and loved it, partly because it was in metallic red. lol! the point is rolls ran from expensive elegace to expensive high tech, and people like my grandfather would rather take the simple but elegant bentley because now rolls does not have that old person crowd only the young hip-hop crowd, but bentley has both of those crowds because they stayed classy and simple.
