I’ve found another car I’m interested in buying, and because of my dwindling car space I need to sell something to make room. Before advertising locally or nationally, I thought I’d check to see if any of you local Ferrari chatters were interested. The car is a 1968 365 GT 2+2, black/tan, 55k miles, original Daytona star knockoffs with new correct XWXs. The car has been in the Denver area for almost 30 years, and I know all the history. The car was owned by Silvio Musso in Turin; in 1976 he sold it to (and it was originally imported by) Kenny Sindall of Western Motor Works/Roger Mauro Ferrari/Ferrari of Denver. I’ve spoken with Kenny about the car; he told me some good stories and remembers it fondly. He sold it a few years later to Terry Dreisewerd, who kept in briefly and then sold it to Richard Shannon. Shannon had the car for about 20 years and when he passed away I purchased the car through Roger Mitchell of Mitchell Motors in Littleton. The car is in excellent shape, with all receipts, records, etc. It starts every time in even in the dead of winter. The car had a new clutch a few thousand miles ago, and the heads were done about the same time (Roger Mitchell removed them, Kenny Sindall did the head work). Absolutely no smoke, car pulls hard to redline, synchros are perfect. The interior is all original, and shows some wear, but is completely decent and presentable. The car had been repainted once; there is no rust and no evidence of any prior rust or accident repair. The body is very straight, no dings or dents. When I bought the car, I pulled some of the interior panels and checked the doors and upper rockers- the car is absolutely solid. Most of the chrome has been redone. The car is very original, the only modification is that someone shortened the 4 air inlet snorkels on the air cleaner by about half; this was a typical period mod to get cooler air to the engine, rather than sucking it up right over the headers. The car comes with both correct tool rolls, all the jack stuff is there including the extender and the ratchet, but some tools are missing. Original owner’s manual (well-used and ratty) and parts manual (perfect) are present. This car has been well maintained with plenty of high-dollar receipts to prove it. You’d be hard pressed to find a better running and driving car. If you have any interest or questions, you can PM me or call me at 303-881-3078.
