Yes, it's a section of the drawing done by the supplier for this Magneti Marelli sensor. Interestingly enough the bill of materials is a few dollars and it doesn't look like MM does anything in terms of calibration but maybe just put a sticker on it and a bag.
The only question I have is whether the semiconductor in the sensor unit puts out the same output.. if they varied the length, thickness, variance with time. I wonder if you could check the max and min positions with a multimeter?.. then you'd know equivalence..
It does not surprise me. I had to replace a crank sensor on my 348 spider. Ferrari wanted 450.00 for it. I found a Aitex sensor that was better made with exact same readings on my meter and cost was 64.00 Car ran like a champ.
