Anybody make it to the NOLA Auto Show last weekend?

Just wondering if anybody went down to the convention center and checked out the NOLA Auto Show? I decided to skip this year (the last several actually) as it seems to be very short on concepts, exotics, etc. It's more like shelling out money, time, and gas to see the same crap I would see at the local Chevy/Ford/Toyota/ETC dealership. Heck even the Houston Auto Show has gone this way. I remember years back when Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin and the like would have displays at these things, but it now seems that they tend to skip the most of the U.S. Auto Shows except NY, L.A., Chicago, and Detroit. At best you may get a few Jags, Porsches, or Mercedes, but just the run of the mill production stuff one usally sees on the showroom floor, but nothing special to justify the time or money to visit these things.

 

i agree and that is why I decided to skip this year for the first time in a while. (10 years).
