    Are you referring to the 18000++RPM 250-400cc Multi Cylinders i.e Honda CBR400RR/VFR 400RR, Kawasaki ZXR400, Yamaha FZR400 ?

    If so, they're a blast! Used to own an NC31 VFR400RR with single-sided swing-arm before graduating to a 600 and my present 996. They're light, very, very flickable but not comfy enough if you're anything over 5'8"... They look exotic though...

    If you're a 'seasoned' biker maybe you're into it for the thrills and exoticness because speedwise they'll run out of puff at 200/210km/h ( 124-130mph). If you're a novice like I was then the main reason I bought it was because it's a good bike to learn the basics of fast riding and these bikes are gorgeous to look at.

    I think he is talking about the little bike like Jimmy just bought in his latest photo-rama thread.

    I have one. Its fun as long as you have some where to ride it. I'm the only person I know that has one, so it gets kind of boring riding alone. Mine will do between 30 and 35 and then you can buy upgraded parts like an exhaust and what not. The best thing about it is that if I blow up the motor, a new one is only like $125 shipped.

    I love these type of bikes. (pocket rockets) I sat on a ZX-4RR in H.K.
    They are not available in the USA. A GP bike may also be quite fun !!

    Pure junk. A buddy bought one for his kid. He spent more time fixing it and on the phone ordering parts, than riding it.

    I've had zero issues with mine. It came assembled in the box, i adjusted the handle bars, mixed gas, filled it, and rode. I got it as a present, but I'll try and find the site for you.

    I've got a couple of friends that have some. One is a 70cc 4 stroke that sounds pretty sweet. It does 45 mph stock. Doesn't have much bottom end so coming off slow corners isnt' so much fun but it does have good top end power.

    My cousin has one that looks kinda similar to an R1. He's topped it out at 38mph. He said once he installs the new alternator, carb, and NOS it'll be runnin 70

    Maybe if he runs some stickers and some underglow lighting he'll break 300.

    Joke?

    Sorry but unless he's developing like 20hp from 50cc's... He's not getting 70 mph.

    I was driving with FarmerDave last week working on the Poker Run route when I looked over to notice some adult trying to haul ass on a pocket bike. Get this, he was on the opposite side of the road on the highway shoulder. I just looked so damn weird I couldn't help but laugh out loud uncontrollably at this guy.

    Only in Texas.

    Hahaha Solipist.

    They are pretty big at my college. I saw one guy the other day riding one (back pack and all) with his head down against (for less wind resistance!) the handle bars looking extremely serious.

    I did that thing where you try not to laugh, but in doing so it comes out in one big burst of laughter that makes you seem like more of an ass...

    A German dealer had a display of a couple of dozen of them at the San Marino GP this past weekend. For sale for something like 199 Euro complete with 49 cc engines, wild paint schemes and slick tires. Looked neat - if I could figure out a way to fit my bulk on to one, looks like it would be fun. Don't know if he sold any but he had the largest crowd of any of the venders there.
