It does look good, but did you notice the Washington state plates = wettest part of the country. Nice try photographing with a desert background.

Good catch! Something fishy here. These days I cannot imagine buying a Ferrari without running it by my friends on F'chat first.

That has the marks of a well kept car......

    Books, tools, and records.....

Yea, it rains in Washington state but in AZ it's had time to dry out!

Only one day left...you'd better get in there if ya want it!
I have a contact in AZ as well but she's a judge...not a car person.

There are some high end resto shops in the area.........

1978 should be the first year of catalysts exhaust system and somewhat milder cams than 1976-77.

We'll get it the east coast! You take it to land of snow and ice, from there!

Mine had an Oregon Title when I bought it from a private seller in Providence , RI- records showed it spent most of it's life in San Jose and Sacramento - no rust so far.

While Phoenix may be sunny 300+ days out of the year, it has a rainy season in late-winter/early-spring, and there are some MAJOR monsoons (what the rest of the country calls a "thunderstorm") that pop up in the middle of summer.

I live in Phoenix, My 328 came from Washington, The car is fine, just about every independent F-Car mechanic in Phoenix has looked at it, no rusting problems outside of a little surface rust under the car, but nothing hindering performance, trust me. We do have a monsoon season here, I was caught in it 2 weeks ago with the 328, I promptly called my mechanic and asked him at what point does the car start melting and when should I bring it in for "exposure to rain service" :)

    Hi,

    This car is in fact a 1977 car (Feb 1977) - a non-cat car.....owner made a mistake by calling it a '78....

Thank you for all this answers. I have now find out that I can never trust someone sell cars.
I think I get a verry good offer from Italy now, and I know a frend of the owner. This is a 308GTB from 1979, only one owner and 26000 km and red. What is different with the engine from 1979 and from a 1977? I se that 1979 have less HP. (This is a euro version). Does the euro and the US model have the same HP in 1979?
All information I find of this cars is from 1976 or 1977, the next is GTBi and Qv. Nobody writing aboat 308GTB from 1978-1980 GTB.

Find aFire..he knows...basically Euros will not have CATS until 1980, so are good and besides closer to you! Not sure on cam specs by year....

The US cars lost power when the cams were changed in 1978 -79 so 1977s are the best, next to glass ones, IMO...if this car is a 1977 I'd be all over it, if interested!

Euros also have only one 8 point distributor and avoid all the R1 R2 points micro switch interface BS.

I think a lot of the US CAT equipped carb cars have had ignition mishaps and burned.......I had a header failure and only quick action saved the car.....

The year model is a pretty common honest mistake and 1977s are better, if Mr. BMW had known that, he would have corrected it!

Due to shipping and title issue delays usually, not subterfuge......

A good 1977 in the hands of a private seller is as good as it gets...nice interior redo also! ;)

    VIN #23267...that is a late one....I have 22127 and 22641 both titled as 1977....

Does not look like it'll meet reserve...that's a solid $30K car IMO.....OK maybe $29,500 would do the deal!!??
