Engines coming out in a few weeks and lots of work being done to it.....sooooooo.......am thinking of changing the cams.

Anyone got experience with changing the cams or used the ones at Nicks Forza Ferrari?

No I havent but ... I doubt the $$ per horsepower gain would be worth it. The problem being is that Ferrari motors are so small and already pushed to resonable limits. The old saying no replacement for displacement is somewhat true here. The 348 gets about 1.44 HP per cubic inch and thats pretty darn amazing for a normaly asperated engine. A cam change with any decent HP improvement would mean spinning it to the moon, and just a stock cam regrind isnt going to yield any impressive numbers.

    IMO,

Cam change - little HP gain little headacke's
Turbo system - big horsepower big headacke's
leave it alone - big enjoyement no headackes

I've heard of guys retarding the exhaust cam 1 degree or so for better top end. Little or no cost to that. Of course any gain on top end is going to be offset by loss on bottom. No problem, just changing clutch a little more often. Hop it up, have fun with it. You can always change it back if you don't like the result.
