Architecture and design. The silo house on the Provo River in Utah is pretty cool, in an industrial sort of way!

I want to retire to Big Sur, but visiting will have to suffice for the next decade. What do ya'll think about glass & steel oceanfront dwellings?

Grew up in carmel, dad & I had an architecture firm there. Our biggest commission was at the end of fisherman's wharf in monterey where we designed "Rappa's End of the Wharf" restaurant (he's modified it since we finished it and weren't involved with the mod's), the one at the very end with the observation deck around it... that was '90/91 I think we did that.

Met Mickey Meuning once during an AIA thing at Post Ranch he was likable. His work is certainly his own. I thought the house in the tv piece as not the best I've seen there, the property as in most cases eclipses the architecture by a large amount...

Big Sur is an epic place, we're getting out there in the next couple of weeks to see the family, looking forward very much.
