    Two questions...

    1) How do you like the car?

    2) Are they available below MSRP? Priced the way I want, MSRP is about $78k and invoice is $71k. If I could order one for $73k-74k or something I would be sold, I think.

I bought a 3 series 3 years ago as my "winter car" but I've since sold my fun car and I really like the bimmer. I would like to get another one. I want the heads up display and something a little bigger/nicer than my 3. I am looking at the 530xi and the 650i. The 5 optioned out MSRP's around $60k and the 6 around $78k. Honestly I would pay the extra 18 to get the 6. It doesnt have AWD but I like the look much better.

Do you think resale will be in the toilet in 3-4 years on the 6? Resale on my 3 has been awesome.

I dont care what anyone says you have good taste sir. I'm not sure about depreciation. I would guess its probably comparable to the 7 and 5 series, which take a bigger hit than the 3.

The 6 series cars hold up very well and if maintained, they keep very good value. If you have the cash, you can't go wrong.

Not to differ, but how do we know that? The 6 series is an altogether new model, at least here in the States, and we have yet to see how it holds up either mechanically or in the market. Not sure it's my cup of tea, but if you are going to lease, rather than buy, it shouldn't make a difference. If you are buying the car, I think you'll take a depreciation hit, but that's probably true of almost any new car these days....

Are you talking ab out the 04+ 6 series or the 1980's 6 series?
