Would be interested in whether anyone bought a Ferrari in Dubai. I am aware that on face value this looks like a bad idea - stupid drivers, abused cars, salty climate etc. but maybe there is an opportunity. I assume the market there should be pretty lively now??
E.g. a Luxembourg dealer is offering a stunning limited edition 612 (grey/white double color exterior, red/black stunning interior) for EUR 139k. Thats for 2007 model. Well below market.
Are UAE cars EU or US specification by the way?

I see you are aware of the problems the cars have.
There are several types of owner profiles there and that you have bear in mind when buying a Ferrari there.
    - youngster: has no idea whatsoever, the car might even get crashed you wouldn't know about.
    - enthusiast: usually, european, in his 40's using his car the way it should be used.
    - rich owner: chose a 612 over a CL65 AMG because it's more funky but nothing really to expect from that (might be abused).
    - sheikh/rich local: car has 1200 kms done in 3 years regularly serviced. Taking too much space in the garage.

The official dealership is not that good. Market not that lively...

Cars are "Gulf Specs" since 2006 as far as i'm aware.

Pav, do you happen to know this dealer called Alain Class Motors? Are these guyes serious or are they just speculators? They seem to be offering brand new cars which appear to be grey imports without warranty?
