That last Renault shirt is a bit wild.
I like the Cerruti shirt & the Williams shirt.
Never come across one of either of those in my size - XL or XXL.

And here's my 2000 Hilfiger Ferrari fleece.
I used to wear this fairly often until I found a ship in LA that wanted $1800 for one of these.
I still wear it occasionally - but not all the time anymore.
This fleece is very well made, but is not nearly as warm as I would have expected.
My son can't wait 'till this becomes his!

Here we have a Ferrari crew shrirt from '81 and '82 - The Villeneuve/Pironi glory days.
I've only done a little research on these and I'm not really sure what this thing is worth, but there can't be very many of these still around.
It appears to never have been worn or washed, but I'm certainly no expert in these matters.

And there you have it guys and gals - the core of my F1 shirt collection.

    Cheers - Forza Flippy!!!

That Ferrari shirt is pretty nice! The goofy-looking Renault shirt (I call it my "drinking" shirt:)) was something I bought off of their website a few years ago. I saw an interview with Alonso where he was wearing a team shirt that was similar, except the logos were much larger, and there were only a few of them. I went to their site and saw both, and went with this one. I love it. For some reason I've always been drawn to the Benetton/Renault gear (pre-ING), I think it's the color combos. I also have a set of Benetton raingear from the mid-90s that includes the 3/4 length jacket in teal with full branding along with the rain pants.

Slightly OT but I though you might be interested in seeing my signed MS 1994 B194 Wingplate display.

Very cool! Of all the things I've collected over the years, I never picked up any car parts. That's a nice arrangement, especially since the piece is actually signed vs. "cut" style. Any others?

A good friend of mine is a flagger who usually goes up to Montreal for the GP.
For YEARS I've been asking him - "When you're cleaning up from a wreck - one of these times remeber your ol' buddy Scott."
He's got a few parts in his collection - his favorite is a piece of Panis's car from when he had his big wreck there.
Now he's talking about retiring from flagging.

    Ah - nice gloves.
Another flagger I sort-of know (met him once) - and who I think hangs out around here - was given a pair of gloves by Jean Alesi after Alesi's car stopped at his corner one year. Not sure if he'll see this post or not.

One of these years I gotta go out and start flagging again.
You can't get any closer to the action than that.

My collection is mainly caps, i have quite a few!!

Nice collections everyone, love the gloves, the Brabham shirt and that Minardi 1997 shirt on the first page is a really good one, that must be worth a fair bit now.

Ooh--I like that! Where did you pick that one up? I've got a bunch of MS visors signed, but my favorite has to be my Ferrari letter from the 50's signed by Enzo.

I think that Ferrari "fleece" is actually a cashmere?

That would merit the price, although many of my Winter testing jackets were in that range, the zip out vest was fully logo'd as well..

I'll need to get a pic of my Lotus piece, note on yours both the Lotus 'crest' AND the Castrol patch are visible, on mine the crest display was sacrificed to the oil logo patch going on top..... mine is just two colors the yellow and green meet at the button strip....

Where's my son, running around with a Nikon D60 while his Dad shots 35MM film without a flash attachment?? :D

They have to be consecutive years though, as the sleeve logo 'stacks' are nearly identical....I'll try to get a pic and post....

My Ferrari fleece is definitely not a cashmere. I forget the fabric blend - it's in a garment bag and I'm not really up for digging it out to find out.
I think that price was more due it being for sale in LA where all prices are inflated.

Looking forward to seeing your Lotus shirt. I'll have to look around & see what year mine is from.
Don't suppsose anyone has and old JPS Lotus shirt?
    That'd sure be a prize.

Enjoying this thread, but to be honest I'd hoped to generate more interest with this one.

    As always, best wishes...

You mean like Andretti-JPS era? I have a signed jacket, but a shirt would be cool.

Don't feel bad about the amount of response to the thread. It's actually been quite successful. But if you want to really drum up a response in this thread, you'd have to talk about collecting 1:43 race shirts for the pit crews in your diorama collection.

    I'll have to get a digital camera....LOL!

As an AJ Foyt fan I bought a full set of gear for every Indy 500 I attended.....the year he retired his daughter Nancy sold me the matching crew shirt, the black Copenhagen one....

I always thought that year was special as he mde his final lap and stepped from the car.....
