Sold the Formula car as cost to run competitively (tires) too great.
I'm looking at Racesaver (spec) series with promised tire life (cross my heart) said to be one season per set. Engines last several seasons.
I've read and heard that Sprint cars are the ultimate "A ticket" buzz.

Have you been to very many of the sprint car races? Dirt or asphalt? They are a real thrill to watch and I can see how they could certainly be less expensive to operate than the formula cars. With number of heats in a night and the limited length of each heat. I usually go watch them several times a year but have never been involved in running one so I cannot be of help in the maintenance, wear dept.......

March 17 Sprint car action at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale........

There is nothing on earth more exciting than sprint cars on dirt. Last week I happened to go to a dirt race in Florida and the feature was won by a 16 year old girl named Andrea Ferguson. Danica better watch her back...

I'd goto texas motorspeedway in dallas and do the 60 lap legend car school or find a winged sprint school to see if you like it first. I think they are like 400-800 bucks. I drove a buddies winged sprint and was used to road racing motorcycles and didnt much care for it. coming from roadracing formula cars on asphalt i gotta feeling you are gonna find out the same thing. oh and make sure to brush up on your fist fighting skills too.

I grew up in Ohio with USAC sprint cars. Eldora, Dayton Speedway, etc. Excitinig to watch, but I think they are still dangerous.

A driver named Bettenhausen, Gary, was injured in a race accident, lost the use of one hand. He had the doctor form his fingers and thumb so he could hang to the steering wheel of his sprint.

    Hard core racing.
