Someone said it was Ferrari themed this time. If I’m in town maybe I buzz down in something
Yes, it is on their website: CAFFEINE & GASOLINE® March 5, 2022 Theme: Ferrari Griot's Garage Store & Events Center Tacoma, WA 8:00 a.m. Should be able to get there in the 330.
Guys, just a heads up on this. The last couple times I went to one of these it was pretty much "unmoderated". There is a theme i.e. featured marque. In actuality this means that a bunch of cars of any and all makes will be there. Sprinkled amongst all the random cars will be some of the featured cars that managed to find a space to park. If you want to get a space, I suggest getting there really early because it's kind of a madhouse as things get going. It is not run like Exotics or something of that caliber. It basically is Griots inviting everyone to come on by and check out whatever shows up. You are pretty much on your own as far as finding a place to park. Space is limited. There will be a few cars that are worth checking out, but overall it's a bit of a mess in my opinion. Griots does supply donuts and coffee though. For the record, I like Griots and they do a good job of showing people how to get great results with their products. But I wouldn't recommend their car shows unless there have been some significant changes that I am unaware of.
You know, I've gone to the past couple "Ferrari days" down there. It was kind of annoying because of the amount of non-Ferrari or even non-Italian stuff down there. I may go ahead but haven't committed.
In the past for this Ferrari event, Ferraris get parked on the upper area right outside of the store and shop doors. So just go to the ramp that leads up to that area for parking. The downside is that you can get parked in and unless you back up the ramp, getting turned around can be an issue.
I was there for an exotic show last May and you need to get there really EARLY, if you want to park on the top level. If the weather is decent on March 5th, I may go. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Went to Italian day last year and like others have said I was surprised it was just drive in and try to find a spot to park....for any car that wanted to. I ended up in the middle of the by then muddy lawn. But it was still fun. It is definitely NOT anything like ERTC which is very organized. There should be some fun cars there though. I'll see what it looks like and if I can get up early enough. Tacoma is a much shorter drive for me than Redmond though.
I'm headed there in a couple of hours. Got the 330 started yesterday. It wasn't happy after sitting since October.
I couldn't drag my butt outta bed early enough. Turned out pretty nice today, at least by the time I got up. Hope it was a good turnout.
I'm finally getting around to posting some photos from the event. It was a really great turnout of Ferraris, including a local, real deal 250 GTO that drove down the freeway from Bellevue!! Griot's gave out 70 dozen donuts that morning. You didn't miss much. I went around 9AM, but didn't drive the Fcar. (No one else did either) They did have a pleasant blend of Ferraris inside, as usual. I stayed about 45 minutes then left.
