Going along with my previous post, wondering if it would just make more sense to have a wrap professionally done to change the color of a car I want...

Can the wrap companies really get the hard parts done seamlessly to make the car look like its actually paint? Door handles, etc...?

    Thx again!

Definitely possible. I'd say a lot easier (and cheaper) than swapping interiors.

Here's a video of an F430 Spider that was done...

You already have an F430, why not just order a white/red 458, then you get a significant performance improvement, and the color combo exactly as you want it. Someone recently just got a white with all red interior over in the 458 section.

Dealers will not sell you a new 458 unless you have already bought a car directly from them.

So basically, I have to go buy a Cali or something JUST to have the 'right' to buy a 458. This literally makes smoke come out of my ears. I don't do well with lack of 100% customer service. Furthermore, the wait lists are still pretty long at the dealer, and I pretty much demand instant gratification on a big purchase like that.

I figure I will wait 1-2 years and have my pick of plenty that will be on the market by then.

As far as my 430 spyder, I have 16k miles on it and warranty is about up. I believe that it is time to move out of it and into something else before I take another depreciation hit.

I saw a F430 at a car show last year with a matt black wrap and was not impressed. From a distance the car look fine but up close it was not very good looking. Door handles, mirrors, around the edges, and the corners of the vents were not done very nicely. Its hard to wrap areas of the car with sharp edges.

In my opinion a Ferrari should be left alone, they are too pretty to "wrap"

    What color do you want?

I usually love the matte black finish but for some reason doesn't look good on that car....

There is a white with red Cali at Ferrari of Seattle right now. As for having to buy a car from a dealer before getting on a 458 waiting list that is not true. Many 458 owners are 1st time buyers, so I would find another dealer with less of an elistist attitude.

I did it on my 430 spider. Matte black wrapped the entire car. It looked very good and was well done by the professionals that did the job. However, maintaining the perfect look was tougher then I thought. Many trips to the detail shop to keep it looking right. After nearly a year, I took off most of the wrap on the bumpers and doors and created a 2 tone look with only large flat panels of the car still under wraps. Currently, I'm liking the look.

Do you have any photos of the two tone? Seems interesting.

Wraps are cool when u want to change up a little but the matte finishes I don't get ...they look like primer ie an unfinished paint job
