The 308GT4 chassis 328/288 conversion at Fantasy Junction CA. Has anyone driven this car, and can it handle the power ? Spec sheet looks interesting. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was it really a conversion from a GT4? That seems like an odd start...almost seems like you'd start that conversion from a GTB....
Wow!, I like it, what an engine spec as well!, its good to see a car that goes as fast as it looks! P.s. its a GTB not GT4

From the bottom of the ad: This, IMO, is a major factor playing into why it has not sold yet. FJ goes through a lot of "high end" cars in a year, so the car is definitely "known" by potential buyers. Add to the fact that most laypersons wouldn't be able to differentiate a 308 from a 288GTO, this car is a $100k 308 that's not a 308, nor is it a 288GTO... Oh, and you can't drive it - at least not in CA. What it needs is for someone like WilliamH to come along and pick it up as a "Slutmobile 2", but that individual would almost have to live in a state like Kentucky, etc. where state smog testing is about as likely to manifest itself as a professional baseball team would be... If I had a spare $100k laying around, and didn't mind only being able to trailer the car to and from Laguna Seca, Sears Point, etc., that car would've been mine last year. It does seem like a fun car to have...certainly one of a kind, much like the Slutmobile.
That car used to be up here at Goodman Racing. I saw it there a few times before it was sold. It's a race car100%; No creature comforts, very barebones, and VERY fast.
That sure would be useful, and save me jumping on a plane straight away. Any "non-salesman" info would be much appreciated at this stage.
