    Wow this is great I graduated in 87 also. Regarding the video with rats on toast I think one of the group Ratt's video that featured a dinner party had rats in it. It was their video with Milton Berle in it I think it may of been the song 'round and round"

    ...is to find yourself the best working $300-$500 jukebox off of CraigsList or local arcade auction, stick it in your garage or den...bedroom if you're single...and develop a new hobby of tracking down the 50-100 45s it's going to take to stock the box. That in itself is a lot of fun if you live in larger metro areas with used record shops. If you have a jukebox in the bedroom, you probably already have Lay Lady Lay.

    The few '80s records on my Seeburg LS-1 include Shout; Our House (Madness, not Graham Nash), Cult of Personality; (Keep Feeling) Fascination; Captain of Her Heart; Roam, to name a few.

    I graduated in 1991, my older brother was in 1988. So had an older influence music wise. Loved the 80's. Older brother and his friends into late 60's early 70's. Beatles, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, to all the 80's bands, punk to heavy metal and everything in-between

    Smithereens is another good one love the song "Blood and Roses" Zebra "whos behind the door" Honeymoon Suite "new girl now" Ax "rocknrollparty in the street" and so many one hit wonders Kim Mitchell "might as well go for a soda" and then there was Dokken.........

    Miles From Nowhere is another great Smithereens tune. Their songbook is pretty deep. Well worth seeing live if the opportunity presents itself. They usually play BB King's club in NYC the 3rd week of January.

    I really miss 80's/90's bands live in small venues. A client of my Fathers, bought a bar for his sons. They brought in some pretty big name bands of the 80's and 90's. I was on the guest list. Sadly it shut down in 97. Man I miss that place!

    here a blurb on the bar: Art Bergmann Fan Site - End of Era with Pump's Passing note some of the bands that played there. I even saw Art Bergmann play there.

    Too bad the original link in my post is expired. Don't remember 9 years later where to find it again, but youtube easily can find the 1,500+ videos in that original link as long as you remember the artist or song. :/ Messaged mods to remove the original link...youtube can serve as a replacement.

    It is funny because I have heard that song played at weddings but if you listen to the lyrics it is not exactly promoting a healthy relationship ;)

    Another great relationship song from the 80's is Brilliant Disguise. If you watch the official video he is singing to the camera and singing the song live (pre-recorded live no doubt) as it varies from the album version a bit.

    Anyone that has watched a long-term decay and disintegrate can relate to the gut-wrenching lyrics.
