    Do it yourself.

    Sandblast it(or sand it) and paint it with BBQ grill paint. Also, you can use a high heat automotive paint.

    I've done a few of mine, and never had to redo any of them.

    Mine got rust too. I repainted it once and that held for a season. But now I'm giving up on it and remove it alltogether. Even without rust I hate this ugly diaper.

    I had mine done a long time ago at a place that does powder coating. Cheap and it holds up very well. They do mil. spec. work. They did my lawn funiture in USPS blue too.

    dropped the piece off today... it had much more rust than I thought, big flakes of paint falling off.
    Glad I'm not doing it myself...
    oh, and man did I do some "spotting" at McCabes... when I get the time, I'll post the pics.

    My wife will agree that I am the eternal optimist when it comes to "projects"... "hey, that should only take 2 hours!!!" (2 days later...)

    FCA tried to tour Skips... went bust due to apparent lack of interest.
    We could do an informal trip up there... he is always very nice, and despite all the years doing what he does, he gets that gleam in his eye and says "check this out..."

    I decided not to kiss anyone (or anything) while I was there... sorry Skip!!

    I remember that.

    I think Dave B. tried to arrange it?

    The RROC had a tour a few years back and we had a great time. Treated Joal to lunch afterwards.

    We did it on a weekday and had a pretty good turnout.

    Of coarse, everyone knows that none of us RROC guys are gainfully employed, so we're able to do these things during the workday.

    Anywho, maybe we should give it another try with the FOC.

    Anyone interested??

    I got my part back (and now back on the car)... maybe some of you saw it at the tech session...

    It looks fantastic! Sorry, no pics, but take my word... media blasted and painted black.
    All for $150. Would have taken my hours to sand, let alone paint (had have it look great).

    Call McCabes if yours needs attention. $$ well spent!
