In spite of snow on the ground I took my car out for a drive today. It's been about 8 months since I last drove it. I was pretty sure I was going to sell it to NoahCPA, but that was thwarted because of the nasty weather here. I really don't drive the car as much as I should, and it really seems to love cold weather (I remember Russ mentioned this after I bought it from him). No more driving for awhile, as we're headed to LA for the remainder of winter, and I've picked up a Mini Cooper JCW Grand Prix. Maybe Ferrari ownership isn't for me...after two years of ownership I'm not sure I fit in with the F-car community.

That's a beautiful car. Why don't you think you fit in? It's just a car...drive that thing.

Yeah, as suggested already... screw the F-car community! Besides, the Mondial is a worldly car, to be shared by anyone and everyone.

However, I would put the OEM mirrors back on. Otherwise, it's awesome as is (inside and out). :)

The only Ferrari community I'm part of is this one. And it can get a bit hairy in here sometimes. :D

They are toys. No harm in not finding any opportunity to use it. I'm glad I've driven the heck out of mine. And right now it sits out of the way waiting for it's turn in line to get some attention. I really don't think of selling it much anymore.

I'm not sure what you mean by not fitting in, but I just bought my first Mondial T and have yet to drive it, still having some work done. However, I'm going to drive the hell out of it and I'm not looking to fit into anything, I just always wanted the car so I got it. I plan to enjoy the car and if I meet people off this board great, would be nice but I bought my car to have and drive not fit in.

Don't forget why you bought the car to begin with and get out and just drive it. When you get back to Chicago message me, we can go drive together.

Good lesson in life, don't care about fitting in to anything. Do your own thing, if people don't like it that's their problem.

First, Beautiful car! Second, I can't say it must be much fun to drive in heavy snow (I hear it's pretty harsh this year)

Your post doesn't really expound on why you haven't been driving it (and what specifically caused you to feel you don't fit in?)

I've owned my Mondial for about 8 months, and it's been a net plus! Every Ferrari owner have been really nice to me (so far!)

can't complain about the weather here (Belgian coast). Changed the oil, oilfilter and airfilter this morning and we went for a drive this afternoon. 8°C, dry

    best
