Anyone else seen this Gulf Oil Blue 599 GTO?

    I stumbled upon this video of a 599 GTO puttering around Maranello. (Not my video, and I apologize for the overdone production values.) It looks to me like Gulf Oil Blue.

    Has anybody else seen this car (or does anybody know where I can find more pictures of it)? And if you know anything about it, can you tell me if it's going to stay that nice sky blue, or is it due to receive the full Gulf Oil treatment?

    Looks like a Thunderbird color. Needs some orange to look more in Gulf livery.

    One GTO that will probably get repainted when resold.

    Sorry, but the color combo IS NOT befitting a GTO much less any Ferrari. Maybe a Brittany Spears edition.?

    well chacun à son goût, and somehow i like it, but i also like 599 with the denim seats so maybe my taste is strange. ;)

    I dont think its actually too bad, sure if there was some contrast it may look quite a lot better.

    If that's what the owner wanted, then why should we care. It's their car, why worry about resale.

    I think it's bloody lovely!

    I love that colour scheme on Lapo Elkann's 599, looks great on a GTO too. (Though that's coming from the person who also think's Chris Evan's 288 looked great in white with the Gulf blue interior.)

    that's a joke, don't worry, I have a lot of friends in Germany, but I also saw very specific colors on cars in Germany!

    All right, for all you holier than thou guys, which one of you would order a GTO in that color if you had the money and a slot? I have seen dozens of GTOs in varying colors that looked fine. This in not one of them.

    Maybe you like this Celeste Chiaro Maranello?

    If I had a GTO slot I'd go for Mirabeu Blu or that Gulf blue (don't know if it's custom or has a title)

    Hawkeye- I agree with that. Needs some orange to be truly outrageous and acceptable. We need someone with PhotoShop skills to do one up properly.

    Bob- Great job, and that looks outrageous and historical enough to be cool. Nice touch on the calipers. Prevents it from looking like your wife, who has a 1956 Thunderbird (or retro), picked the color.

    Incidentally, the blue with black roof car is not a GTO, but a 599 with the standard pentagram wheels painted black.
