The paint is all chipped off of mine. Has anyone found a way to remove the prancing horse and respray it? The key ring scratch's the **** out of it.

HA! Yea. mine is thrashed! But you know, there is nothing you can do. Even if you were to respray it, since the key is so thick, the key ring holder will scratch it. Just don't stress and if it will make you feel better, you can buy a blank spare on Ebay for like $67 bucks.=)
or better yet, get a Stradale blank. They are really nice!

Yea, not worth worrying about. The one's on eBay do they look like the originals? I've never seen one.

I had my 355 key reproduced in gold and it looks great. It's a little pricey, but in relation to the cost of the car, it's nothing.

You mean <gasp> you actually use the key to <gasp> start the car--how could you?

Yea, they are the original blanks that they sell at the dealers for $78. I don't have a link but there is always a guy on there selling em.

You mean you actually put your Ferrari keys with other COMMON keys?!?
Don't you believe in key segregation?!? Seperate key rings for the Ferrari key is the only way to go.
To think of the culture clash on your keyring...

    Hope you at least smiled;)

I sanded the paint coating off carefully to expose the bare metal. Its looks like a custom key. Kind of like a brushed silver or aluminum. I have had alot of complements.

There was a member on here who gave step-by-step instructions on removing the "horse" and respraying the key to prevent scratching. Search the archives.
