I have a friend who's wife who just gave birth today and they had to rush to the hospital where the birth took place 10 minutes after they arrived.

In making a speedy rush to the hospital he had the choice of his Ford or the Maserati. He was nervous about an in car birth so not wanting to soil
the Maserati he took the Ford ... I know I'd rather tell the story of my birth in a Maserati so it it got me to wondering.

    Has this ever happened?

Now conception in one of these cars has certainly happened.

There is a classic Bill Cosby bit about taking his wife to the hospital, in a Ferrari, when she was in labor. Then trying to get her out of the car, when her water breaks. I think he said the Ferrari was new and cost 27K at the time. It's in the movie Bill Cosby: Himself.

    YES

I might have been conceived in the passenger seat of a 250 GT PF, specifically S/N 1157, now in my posession.

Fact : I was born in January 1960.

Fact: My parents honeymooned traveling around Europe with the Ferrari in April 1959 (9 months before).

Fact: My mother blushes and refuses to answer when asked about her behavior in the car during the honeymoon.

While my conception in the Ferrari is not certain (they did stay in hotels at night), it is certainly possible. I like to believe that's how it happened.

    Cheers!

    Julio

For sure. Very uncomfortable. But sometimes that's not really a problem.
